Ֆինլանդիայի Abo Akademi համալսարանի թիմն առաջընթաց է գրանցել 1 սմ² չափերով շրջված օրգանական արևային բջիջների հետ և հասնելով ավելի քան 18 % արդյունավետության, գրում է Interestengineering.com լրատվամիջոցը, գրում է focus.ua–ն։
Սպիտակ լույսի ազդեցության տակ բջիջները ցույց են տվել աննախադեպ կյանքի տևողությունը՝ 24700 ժամ: Դա համապատասխանում է օրգանական արևային բջիջների ամենաերկար ծառայության ժամկետին, այսինքն գրեթե 16 տարի:
Օրգանական ֆոտովոլտային բջիջներն ուշադրություն են գրավել իրենց այնպիսի առավելությունների շնորհիվ, ինչպիսիք են թեթև քաշը, ճկունությունը և էներգաարդյունավետ գործընթացների միջոցով արտադրությունը: Օրգանական արևային վահանակների էներգիայի փոխակերպման արդյունավետությունը զգալիորեն աճել է վերջին 5 տարիների ընթացքում, և ստանդարտ նմուշներն այժմ լաբորատոր պայմաններում գերազանցում են 20 %-ը: Չնայած այդ առաջընթացին, օդի և արևի լույսի ազդեցության հետևանքով առաջացած նյութերի քայքայման հետ կապված խնդիրները, որոնք ազդում են երկարաժամկետ կայունության վրա, կանխել են դրանց լայնածավալ օգտագործումը:
Այդ դժվարությունները հաղթահարելու համար հետազոտողները դիտարկել են այլընտրանքային նախագծեր, ինչպիսիք են կառուցվածքային շրջված կամ n-i-p արևային բջիջները: Նման նմուշները հնարավոր այլընտրանք են, քանի որ դրանք առաջին հերթին աճեցնում են ամրությունը՝ օգտագործելով ավելի կայուն նյութեր ամենավերին շփման շերտում: Այնուամենայնիվ, գիտնականները նշում են, որ դրանց արդյունավետությունը չի համապատասխանում ավանդական կառուցվածքի արևային վահանակներին:
Abo Akademi-ի թիմը հայտնաբերել է կառուցվածքային շրջված օրգանական արևային վահանակների կարևոր խնդիրը: Ստորին շփման շերտը, որը հաճախ պատրաստված է մետաղական օքսիդներից, ինչպիսին է ցինկի օքսիդը, ստեղծում է նեղ վերահամակցման շրջան: Դա հանգեցնում է ֆոտոհոսանքի կորստի՝ նվազեցնելով բջջի ընդհանուր արդյունավետությունը: Այդ խնդիրը լուծելու համար հետազոտողները ներքևի կոնտակտի վրա դրել են լուծիչով մշակված սիլիցիումի նիտրատ օքսիդի (SiOxNy) բարակ շերտ: Պասիվացման այս շերտը վերացրել է ռեկոմբինացիոն շրջանը զգալիորեն բարձրացնելով մարտկոցի և՛ արդյունավետությունը, և՛ կայունությունը:
