Ստամբուլի եւ Սոֆիայի մրցաշարերը Հայաստանի ըմբիշների եւ մարզիչների համար նախապատրաստական էին: Առջեւում առավել պատասխանատու մրցաշարեր են, մասնավորապես՝ Եվրոպայի առաջնությունը, ապա նաեւ վարկանիշային մրցաշարերը, որտեղ հակառակորդները կարող են ավելի ուժեղ լինել: Այս մասին Արմենպրես-ի հետ զրույցումասաց Հայաստանիըմբշամարտի ֆեդերացիայի փոխնախագահ Հրանտ Ենոքյանը:
«Ամեն դեպքում մեր ըմբիշները լավ մարզավիճակում են եւ լավ են մեկնարկել»,-ընդգծեց Ենոքյանը:
Նրա դիտարկմամբ, այս մրցաշարերից հետո կլինեն ուսումնամարզական հավաքներ, ապա մարզիչները կկողմնորոշվեն, թե ովքեր են մասնակցելու Եվրոպայի առաջնությանը, այնուհետեւ մեկնելու միջազգային վարկանիշային մրցաշարերին:
Ստամբուլում կայացած Վեհբի Էմրեի և Համիդ Քափլանի անվան միջազգային 34-րդ մրցաշարում Արսեն Ջուլֆալակյանը ոսկե մեդալ է նվաճել: Արթուր Ալեքսանյանը, Միհրան Հարությունյանը, Կարապետ Չալյանը ոսկե մեդալներէին նվաճել Բուլղարիայում կայացած միջազգային մրցաշարում: Սոֆիայի մրցաշարից հայ ըմբիշները եւս 2 արծաթե ու 2 բրոնզե մեդալ էին բերել:
