«Հայկական մշակութային լանդշաֆտ» կազմակերպության կողմից արբանյակային լուսանկարների դիտարկումը պարզել է, որ արդբեջանական կողմը ոչնչացրել է Հայաստանի մեգալիթյան մշակույթի կարևոր հուշարձաններից մեկը՝ Ալ լճերի Մեծ հարթակ-զրահը (նկ. 1): Ինչպես նշում է հնագետ Լևոն Մկրտչյանը՝ այս հուշարձանը բացառիկ էր թե իր չափերով և թե կառուցվածքով (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14RkZPht2b/):

Այսպիսով, կարող ենք տեսնել, որ ադրբեջանական կողմը սահմանին ամրաշինական, ռազմական աշխատանքներ կատարելով, ոչնչացնում է տեղի հնագիտական հուշարձանները, փոփոխում լանդշաֆտը, որն այդ հնագիտական հուշարձանների ուսումնասիրության, դրանք հասկանալու համար ունի առաջնային նշանակություն:

Մեր արձագանքը

Հաագայի 1954 թվականի «Զինված բախումների դեպքում մշակութային արժեքների պաշտպանության մասին» կոնվենցիայի 4-րդ հոդվածն արգելում է վանդալիզմի, գողության, կողոպուտի կամ յուրացման ցանկացած գործողություն և բացարձակ արգելք դնում մշակութային արժեքների դեմ ուղղված հաշվեհարդարի գործողությունների վրա։ Ըստ Հաագայի 1999 թվականի երկրորդ արձանագրության, որը գործում է նաև ոչ միջազգային (էթնիկ) բախումների դեպքում, արգելվում է ժառանգության հանդեպ թշնամանքի և հաշվեհարդարի ցանկացած գործողություն, իսկ այդպիսի արարքը ըստ 15-րդ հոդվածի որակվում է որպես միջազգային հանցագործություն։ Ըստ Ժնևի  1949 թվականի օգոստոսի 12-ի կոնվենցիայի առաջին արձանագրության 53-րդ հոդվածի «Չխախտելով Հաագայի 1954 թվականի մայիսի 14-ին ընդունված կոնվենցիայի դրույթները, արգելվում է մշակութային ժառանգության դեմ իրականացնել ցանկացած թշնամական գործողություն, ռազմական նպատակներով օգտագործել դրանք, կամ  հաշվեհարդարի առարկա դարձնել»:
