Приостановило ли USAID программы гуманитарной помощи в Армении?

Программы гуманитарной помощи USAID в Армении в настоящее время не приостановлены. Об этом сообщили из миссии USAID в Армении.
«Государственный секретарь одобрил предоставление основной гуманитарной помощи, направленной на спасение людей, и сделал исключения для помощи, предоставляемой с определенной целью. Уже реализуемые программы гуманитарной помощи, направленные на спасение жизни, должны быть продолжены или возобновлены», - говорится в ответе на запрос.
Здесь же отмечено, что они получают запросы по части определения исключений. «Мы даем ход таким запросам. Несколько срочных запросов утверждены в течение нескольких часов», - говорится в ответе.
В 2023 году USAID предоставило помощь по всему миру на сумму в 72 млрд. долларов. При финансовой поддержке агентства в Армении также реализован и реализуется ряд программ по поддержке насильственно перемещенных лиц из Карабаха.
Отметим, что государственный секретарь США Марко Рубио подписал приказ о замораживании выплат в рамках большинства программ иностранной помощи через USAID на 90 дней и приостановлении выделения новых грантов.
