Դատարանը նախօրեին գիշերը մերժեց Ղարիբ Բաբայանին կալանավորելու միջնորդությունը: Նրան ձերբակալել էին Հանրապետության հրապարակում Իրանի քաղաքացիների կողմից «Քարաբախ» երգի տեսանյութը սոցցանցերում տարածելուց հետո։ Քննչականը գործ էր հարուցել ատելություն, թշնամանք հրահրելու նպատակով նյութեր տարածելու հոդվածով, Բաբայանի նկատմամբ կալանքը որպես խափանման միջոց ընտրելու միջնորդություն էր ներկայացրել դատարան։

Թեպետ տարեց արցախցին ազատության մեջ է, բայց նրա նկատմամբ ընտրվել է վարչական հսկողություն, և սահմանափակվել է հրապարակային խոսքով հանդես գալը: Նույնիսկ իշխանությանը լոյալ իրավապաշտպաններն ու քաղգործիչներն էին ստիպված նշել իրավապահ համակարգի ապօրինությունները, իսկ ՄԻՊ աշխատակազմում Ղարիբ Բաբայանի նկատմամբ իրականացվող քրեական հետապնդման վերաբերյալ ԶԼՄ-ներով հրապարակված տեղեկությունների հիման վրա սկսվել է քննարկման ընթացակարգ: Այս մասին հայտնում է Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը՝ հավելելով, որ ընթացակարգի շրջանակում պարզաբանումներ կպահանջվեն իրավասու մարմիններից։

Մեր տեղեկություններով, գործող իշխանությունները բոլորովին մտադիր չեն հանգստանալ, նույնիսկ հանրային բուռն ընդվզման պայմաններում շարունակելու են հետապնդումները։ Ալիևի՝ Հայաստանում «ֆաշիզմն արմատախիլ անելու» մասին հայտարարությունը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է որպես ուղիղ հրահանգ, իսկ դատարանի մերժումը բացասական հետևանքներ է ունենալու իշխանության համար։ Ուստի Փաշինյանի գլխավորած իշխանությունն ավելի լայն արշավ է սկսելու ընդդիմախոսների դեմ։ Այդ նպատակով առաջին գիծ են դուրս բերվել իշխանական քարոզչամեքենայի «կարկառուն» ներկայացուցիչները, Փաշինյանի սպասարկու փորձագետներն էլ փորձում են տպավորություն ստեղծել, թե իբր Ղարիբ Բաբայանին ուղղորդել են, այն էլ՝ ՌԴ-ից։
