Քննչական կոմիտեի նախագահ Արթուր Պողոսյանը հունվարի 24-ին հրաման է ստորագրել, որում ասվում է․

Հիմք ընդունելով Պետրոս Պետրոսյանի դիմումը, ղեկավարվելով «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության քննչական կոմիտեի մասին» Հայաստանի Հանրապետության օրենքի 20-րդ հոդվածի 8-րդ մասով և 22-րդ հոդվածի 1-ին մասի 2-րդ կետով. հրամայում եմ՝

1. Հայաստանի Հանրապետության քննչական կոմիտեի հատկապես կարևոր գործերի քննության գլխավոր վարչության սեփականության դեմ ուղղված հանցագործությունների քննության վարչության պետ, արդարադատության առաջին դասի խորհրդական Պետրոս Դանիելի Պետրոսյանին ազատել զբաղեցրած պաշտոնից՝ իր գրավոր դիմումի հիման վրա:

Հիշեցնենք, որ ավելի վաղ Պետրոս Պետրոսյանը հայտարարություն էր տարածել․ «Սիրելի՛ ընկերներ, շուրջ 17 տարվա ծառայությունից հետո՝ այսօր, աշխատանքից ազատման դիմում եմ ներկայացրել։ Յուրաքանչյուր առավոտ աշխատանքի (ծառայության) եմ ներկայացել Հայրենիքիս անմնացորդ ծառայելու անհագ ցանկությամբ, սակայն որոշել եմ զբաղվել փաստաբանությամբ եւ այսուհետ այդ կերպ ծառայել ժողովրդիս ու պետությանս։

Երախտագիտությունս եմ հայտնում բոլոր ղեկավարներիս, որոնք երբեւէ հավատացել եւ վստահել են ինձ։

Շնորհակալություն բոլոր ընկերներիս, որոնց ձեռք եմ բերել այս տարիների ընթացքում, եւ որոնց հետ անցել ենք բարդ, դժվար, տեղ-տեղ վտանգավոր, բայց միեւնույն ժամանակ պատվաբեր ճանապարհ։
