Միացյալ Նահանգների Կալիֆորնիա նահանգում հրդեհի հետևանքով ստեղծված իրավիճակը կամաց-կամաց մեղմվում էր, կարգավորվում։ Ամերիկաբնակ մեր հայրենակիցները MediaHub-ին փոխանցեցին, որ հիմնական վտանգն արդեն նահանջում էր։ Սակայն, իրավիճակը կտրուկ փոխվել է երեկ՝ ԱՄՆ ժամանակով առավոտյան 8-ի սահմաններում։
«Հոկտեմբերի 22-ին արթնացել ենք քնից ու տեսել, որ կրակի նոր օջախներ են հայտնվել, որը մոտենում է Լոս Անջելեսի մեր թաղամասերին։ 10 օր առաջ այստեղ ամենաապահով տեղն էր համարվում, չնայած օդի աղտոտվածությանը։ Մի քանի ժամում կրակը տասնյակ կիլոմետր տարածք է գրավել։ Քաղաքապետարանը տարհանման հրահանգ է տվել, մենք էլ պատրաստվել ենք, բայց դեռ մեր տեղերում ենք»,-ասաց բլոգեր Մարիամ Եվրիյանը։
Նա առանձնացրել է տան անդամների փաստաթղթերը, հագուստներն ու անհրաժեշտ քանակի ջուր ու սնունդ և սպասում են տարհանման հրամանի։ Իր խոսքով՝ ամեն ինչ ծայրահեղ չէ, բայց վտանգավոր է։
«Կրակը դեռ չի հասել բնակելի հատված, բայց այն մեզանից հեռու չէ։ Փրկարարները մեծ աշխատանք են տանում՝ փորձելով զսպել կրակի տարածումը»,- ասաց մեր զրուցակիցը։
Կալիֆորնիայի նահանգային իշխանությունը հունվարի 7-ին Լոս Անջելեսի շրջանում սկսված ու առ այսօր շարունակվող անտառային հրդեհները համարել է նահանգի պատմության մեջ ամենամեծն ու ավերիչը։ Չոր ու քամոտ եղանակը, ըստ օդերևութաբանների, հրդեհի արագ տարածման պատճառ է դարձել։ Հրդեհների ընդհանուր մակերեսը գերազանցել է 16 հազար հեկտարը։ Զոհվել է առնվազն 25 մարդ։
