Հունվարի 18-ին Ադրբեջանի Իմիշլի բնակավայրում արտակարգ պատահար է տեղի ունեցել: Ըստ ՆԳՆ պաշտոնական հաղորդագրության՝ ճանապարհային ոստիկանության մեքենան, որպեսզի խուսափի հանդիպակաց հայտնված տրանսպորտային միջոցի հետ բախումից, փողոցի երթևեկելի հատվածից դուրս է եկել և հարվածել մայթում գտնվող մի քանի երեխաների: Բախման հետևանքով երկու երեխա տեղում մահացել է, երքը՝ հոսպիտալացվել: Ըստ դեռևս չճշտված տեղեկությունների՝ նրանցից մեկը հիվանդանոցի ճանապարհին նույնպես մահացել է։ Տեղեկություններ են շրձանառվում նաև, որ վրաերթի հետևանքով ծանր մարմնական վնասվածքներ է ստացել մի կին, որի մասին պաշտոնական տեղեկություն չի տարածվել:
Միջադեպից հետո բախում է տեղի ունեցել ոստիկանության աշխատակիցների և իմիշլիցիների միջև: Հարյուրավոր երիտասարդներ հավաքվել են դեպքի վայրում, վնասել, ապա գլխիվայր շրջել ոստիկանական մեքենան: Այդ առթիվ Ադրբեջանի գլխավոր դատախազությունը հայտնել է, որ մի խումբ անձինք խուլիգանական մղումներից դրդված փորձել են անկարգություններ հրահրել: Մի քանի անձ ձերբակալվել է, հարուցվել է քրեական գործ, ինչից հետո իրավիճակն ավելի է սրվել։ Իմիշլիի փողոցներում հարյուրավոր ցուցարարներ սկսել են վանկարկել հրաժարականի պահանջ:
