Մահացել է ամերիկացի նշանավոր ռեժիսոր Դեյվիդ Լինչը։ Նա 78 տարեկան էր։

«Հիմա, երբ նա այլևս մեզ հետ չէ, աշխարհում մեծ անցք է »,- գրել է նրա ընտանիքը ֆեյսբուքյան գրառման մեջ։ Բայց ինչպես նա կասեր՝ «Հետևիր օղաբլիթին, ոչ թե անցքին»։

Ինչպես նշում է Guardian-ը՝ Լինչը յուրահատուկ ուղի է անցել ամերիկյան կինոյի միջով՝ սկսած իր վաղ շրջանից՝ որպես ուսանող, փորձարարական կարճամետրաժ ֆիլմեր նկարահանելով մինչև իր սյուրռեալիստական առաջին լիամետրաժ «Eraserhead» ֆիլմի պաշտամունքային հաջողությունը և մի շարք մրցանակակիր ֆիլմեր, այդ թվում՝ «Blue Velvet»,  «Mulholland Drive», ինչպես նաև խորհրդանշական «Twin Peaks»  հեռուստաշոուն:

Նա առաջադրվել է «Օսկարի» «Լավագույն ռեժիսոր»-ի երեք անվանակարգում («Blue Velvet»,  «Mulholland Drive», «Elephant Man» ֆիլմերի համար, և 2019 թվականին արժանացել է «Օսկար» պատվավոր մրցանակի՝ կյանքի նվաճումների համար։ Նա նաև Կաննի կինոփառատոնում արժանացել է «Ոսկե արմավենու ճյուղին» «Wild at Heart» ֆիլմի համար 1990 թվականին։

Լինչը նաև տրանսցենդենտալ մեդիտացիայի ակտիվ պրակտիկանտ էր՝ 2005 թվականին հիմնադրելով Դեյվիդ Լինչի գիտակցության կրթության և համաշխարհային խաղաղության հիմնադրամը․ նա նաև նկարներ է ստեղծել, ալբոմներ է թողարկել, YouTube-ում երկարաժամկետ եղանակի տեսություն է ստեղծել, 2011 թվականին Փարիզում գիշերային ակումբ է բացել։

Լինչն ամուսնացած է եղել չորս անգամ և երկարատև հարաբերություններ է ունեցել «Blue Velvet» ֆիլմի աստղ Իզաբելլա Ռոսելինիի հետ։
