Մեծի տանն Կիլիկիո Արամ Ա կաթողիկոսը կապ է հաստատել Հյուսիսային Ամերիկայի Արևմտյան Հայոց Թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Գեղամ Արքեպիսկոպոս Խաչերյանի հետ՝ տեղեկանալու Լոս-Անջելեսում տարածվող հրդեհի հետևանքների ու տեղի հայ բնակչության վիճակի մասին։

Հրդեհը շարունակվում է տարածվել, մի շարք ընտանիքներ տարհանվել են․

«Անցնող ժամերու ընթացքին, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը մի քանի առիթներով կապ հաստատեց Հիւսիսային Ամերիկայի Արեւմտեան Հայոց Թեմի առաջնորդ Գերշ. Տ. Գեղամ Արք. Խաչերեանի հետ եւ իր մտահոգութիւնը յայտնեց Լոս Անճելոսի մէջ ծայր առած հսկայ հրդեհի հետեւանքներուն ի տես։ Նորին Սրբութիւնը յատկապէս հետաքրքրուեցաւ մեր ժողովուրդի զաւակներուն ու անոնց բնակարաններուն կացութեամբ։ Այս առումով առաջնորդ սրբազան հայրը անհրաժեշտ տեղեկութիւնները փոխանցեց Հայրապետին։

Այս պահու դրութեամբ զօրաւոր փոթորիկն ու հովը պատճառ կ՚ըլլան, որ հրդեհը աւելի ծաւալի՝ հակառակ հրշէջներուն կողմէ գործադրուած հետեւողական ու ազդու միջամտութեանց։ Ահաւոր հրդեհը առաւելաբար կը տարածուի Փասատինայի, Կլէնտէյլի եւ Լա Քրասէնթայի հայահոծ շրջաններուն մէջ։ Տեղեկութիւններու համաձայն, կարգ մը հայ ընտանիքներ արդէն իսկ ապաստանած են աւելի ապահով շրջաններ։

Մեր եկեղեցիները յայտարարած են, որ իրենց դռները բաց են բոլոր անոնց դիմաց, որոնք կը փափաքին ապաստան գտնել այնտեղ»։
