Քանի դեռ Ադրբեջանի հետ Խաղաղության պայմանագիրը փաստ չէ, անընդհատ էսկալացիայի հավանականություն կա:
2024 թվականի աշխատանքներն ամփոփելիս Արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունում հրավիրած մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ ասել է արտաքին գործերի նախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանը՝ միաժամանակ նկատելով, որ այդ էսկալացիան կանխելու համար է, որ գոյություն ունեն Եվրամիության քաղաքացիական դիտորդները:
Չնայած Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի կոշտ հռետորաբանությանը՝ Հայաստանի գլխավոր դիվանագետը հավանական է համարում Խաղաղության պայմանագրի կնքումը, քանի դեռ ընթանում են բանակցություններ:
Արձագանքելով «Հայկական ժամանակ»-ի հարցին, այն է, որ Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը հայտարարել է, թե «լավ կլիներ, որ Հայաստանի վարչապետն ընդուներ «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան»-ի համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներին, սրանով ի՞նչ նպատակ է հետապնդում հարևան երկրի ղեկավարը, և նման քննարկում երբևէ եղե՞լ է հայկական և ադրբեջանական կողմերի միջև՝ Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական հարցերով գերատեսչության ղեկավարը նկատել է՝ հայկական կողմը շարունակում է ադրբեջանական կողմից ստանալ ապացույցներ այն մասին, որ «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան» կոչված ադրբեջանական նարատիվը ուղղակիորեն տարածքային պահանջ է կամ հավակնություններ է ենթադրում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տարածքային ամբողջականության նկատմամբ:
Արարատ Միրզոյանը, ի պատասխան Իլհամ Ալիևի այն հայտարարությունների, թե հայկական կողմը չպետք է զենք գնի և գնած զենքերն էլ պետք է հետ վերադարձնի, շեշտել է, որ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը ձեռք է բերել և շարունակելու է ձեռք բերել սպառազինություններ՝ ունենալով բացառապես և միայն պաշտպանական նպատակներ։
Անդրադառնալով Ադրբեջանի և Թուրքիայի կողմից օրակարգ դարձված, այսպես կոչված, «Զանգեզուրի միջանցք»-ի կեղծ թեզին՝ արտգործնախարարը ասել է, որ Հայաստանը չի ցանկանում և իր համար շահեկան էլ չէ պատնեշ լինել այլ պետությունների միջև:
Միրզոյանը նաև տեղեկացրել է, որ Հայաստանը Եվրոպական միության հետ առաջիկա ամիսներին նախատեսում է ստորագրել գործընկերության նոր օրակարգ, իսկ Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ շուտով կստորագրվի ռազմավարական գործընկերության համաձայնագիր:
