ԵՄ-ն թույլ չի տա աշխարհի այլ պետություններին, կապ չունի թե դրանք որոնք են, հարձակվել իր ինքնիշխան սահմանների վրա. այս մասին ասել է Ֆրանսիայի ԱԳ նախարար Ժան Նոել Բարրոն՝ մեկնաբանելով ԱՄՆ նորընտիր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ՝ Դանիային պատկանող Գրենլանդիա կղզին ԱՄՆ կազմում ներառելու հավակնությունները: Այս մասին գրում է Daily Mail-ը:
Միևնույն ժամանակ Բարրոն ասել է, որ չի հավատում, որ ԱՄՆ-ն կներխուժի Գրենլանդիա:
«Այնուամենայնիվ, մենք մուտք ենք գործել մի ժամանակաշրջան, որտեղ ականատես ենք դառնում ուժեղագույնի օրենքին: Մենք ուժեղ մայրցամաք ենք, բայց պետք է ավելի ուժեղացնենք ինքներս մեզ», - նշել է նա՝ զգուշացնելով, որ Եվրոպան պետք է «արթնանա ավելի ու ավելի անապահով աշխարհի իրականության մեջ և ուժեղանա ռազմական մրցակցության մեջ»:
Նախօրեին Թրամփն ասել էր, որ Գրենլանդիայի բնակիչները կշահեն Միացյալ Նահանգներին միանալուց։
«Գրենլանդիան անհավանական վայր է, դրա բնակիչները մեծապես կշահեն, եթե և երբ այն դառնա մեր երկրի մի մասը: Մենք կպաշտպանենք այն չար արտաքին աշխարհից»,- գրել էր նա Truth Social ցանցի իր էջում:
Թրամփը նաև հավելել էր, որ իր որդին «կուղևորվի Գրենլանդիա՝ այցելելու գեղեցիկ և տեսարժան վայրեր»։
Անցյալ տարեվերջին Թրամփն ասել էր, որ Վաշինգտոնին անհրաժեշտ է վերահսկողություն Գրենլանդիայի նկատմամբ: Ի պատասխան՝ Գրենլանդիայի վարչապետ Մութե Էգեդեն ընդգծել էր, որ կղզին չի վաճառվում։
2019-ին Թրամփի առաջին նախագահական ժամկետի ժամանակ ամերիկյան լրատվամիջոցները գրում էին, որ նա հետաքրքրված է Գրենլանդիան ձեռք բերելու հնարավորությամբ:
Գրենլանդիան ներառված է Դանիայի կազմում և ունի ինքնավարության լայն իրավունքներ։ Դանիայի թագավորության իշխանությունները հրաժարվել են քննարկել Գրենլանդիայի վաճառքը՝ այդ գաղափարն անվանելով անհեթեթ։
Անցյալ տարեվերջից Թրամփի կողմից շարունակվող հավակնոտ հայտարարությունների ֆոնին՝ Դանիան, որի կազմում ներառված է Գրենլանդիան, փոխել է թագավորական զինանշանը՝ դրա վրա ընդգծելով Գրենլանդիայի խորհրդանիշը (սպիտակ արջը):
