Հունվարի 6-ին Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին նշում է Սուրբ Ծննդյան տոնը

Քրիստոսի Ծնունդն ու Մկրտությունը Եկեղեցին տոնում է միասին` հունվարի 6-ին` «Հայտնություն» կամ «Աստվածահայտնություն» ընդհանուր անվամբ: Օրն անփոփոխ ու անխախտ նշվում է առաքելական ժամանակներից:
Qahana.am-ը պատասխանելով հարցին, թե ինչու է Հայ Առաքելական Սբ Եկեղեցին Հիսուս Քրիստոսի Սբ Ծննդյան տոնը նշում հունվարի 6-ին, իսկ Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցին` դեկտեմբերի 25-ին, նշում է, որ մինչև 4-րդ դարը բոլոր քրիստոնյաները Ս. Ծնունդը նշել են հունվարի 6-ին: Սակայն անգամ քրիստոնեության ընդունումից հետո հռոմեացիները շարունակում էին հեթանոսական տոներ նշել: Բանն այն է, որ դեկտեմբերի 25-ին մեծ շուքով նշվում էր արևի պաշտամունքին նվիրված տոնը: Հեթանոսական ավանդույթները խափանելու համար 336թ. Հռոմի եկեղեցին դեկտեմբերի 25-ը պաշտոնապես հռչակեց Հիսուս Քրիստոսի ծննդյան օր: Հետագայում Ասորիքում և գրեթե ողջ արևելքում Քրիստոսի Ծննդյան տոնի օրը փոխադրվեց դեկտեմբերի 25-ին, իսկ հունվարի 6-ը մնաց որպես Տիրոջ Աստվածհայտնության, Մկրտության օր:
Ռուս Ուղղափառ եկեղեցին, ինչպես նաև բոլոր ուղղափառ եկեղեցիները, Սբ Ծնունդը ևս նշում են դեկտեմբերի 25-ին կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու հետ միասին: Իսկ հունվարի 7-ին այդ եկեղեցիներում նշվում է Աստվածհայտնության տոնը և Սուրբ Մկրտությունը։
Հնագույն ավանդության և ավետարանական հաշվարկներին հավատարիմ է մնացել միայն Հայ Առաքելական Սբ Եկեղեցին` հունվարի 6-ին միասնաբար նշելով Քրիստոսի Ծննդյան և Աստվածհայտնության տոները:
Ըստ Հայ Եկեղեցու, Ս. Ծննդյանը նախորդող մեկ շաբաթը պահոց շրջան է: Դեկտեմբերի 29-ի երեկոյից մինչև հունվարի 5-ի երեկո մարդիկ պահք են պահում: Այդ ընթացքում օգտագործվում է բացառապես բուսական ծագում ունեցող սնունդ:
Պահեցողները պահքից շրջանից դուրս են գալիս հունվարի 5-ի երեկոյան, երբ եկեղեցում մատուցվում է Ս. Ծննդյան Ճրագալույցի Ս. Պատարագ եւ տրվում է Ս. Ծննդյան ավետիսը: Մարդիկ միմյանց ողջունում են «Քրիստոս Ծնվեց եւ Հայտնվեց, Օրհնյալ է Հայտնությունը Քրիստոսի» խոսքերով, ապա նստում տոնական սեղանի շուրջ։
