Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարել է, թե Հայաստան-Իրան պետական սահմանի Ագարակ սահմանային անցակետում սահմանապահ վերահսկողություն իրականացնում են ոչ թե ռուս սահմանապահները, այլ միայն Հայաստանի սահմանապահ զորքերը։

Օգոստոսից ռուս սահմանապահները դուրս էին եկել Երևանի «Զվարթնոց» օդանավակայանից։ Դրանից հետո պաշտոնական Երևանը հայտնեց, որ Մոսկվայում Փաշինյան-Պուտին կարճ հանդիպմանը պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռքբերվել, որ ռուս սահմանապահները դուրս կգան Ագարակի անցակետից, և այնտեղ հունվարի 1-ից հսկողություն կիրականացնեն միայն Հայաստանի սահմանապահները։

Առաջին հայացքից կարող է թվալ, թե ՀՀ իշխանությունները պարզապես ինքնիշխանությանը միտված քայլ են անում, բայց իրականում դրվագ առ դրվագ հանձնում են այն՝ ռազմավարական դաշնակցին դուրս մղելով բոլոր ուղղություններով։

Ռուսաստանն այժմ իր սահմանապահներով պահպանում է միայն հայ-թուրքական սահմանը, բայց ինչ-որ պահի ՀՀ գործող իշխանությունները, եթե չհեռացվեն, նաև ռուսական ռազմակայանը հեռացնելու ջանքեր են ներդնելու։

Հարավային Կովկասում ռուսական ազդեցության չեզոքացումից հետո վակուումը կարող է լցվել միայն արտաքին ազդեցությամբ։ Իհարկե, իշխանական քարոզչամեքենան փորձում է համոզել, որ «սուրբ տեղը» լրացնելու է Եվրամիությունը, բայց իրականում բոլոր այս քայլերն ուղղված են Թուրքիայի ազդեցության ուժեղացմանը։ Իսկ դրա հետևանքները չափազանց ծանր են լինելու։
