Израиль будет продолжать наносить удары по хуситам в Йемене до тех пор, пока «работа не будет завершена», заявил премьер-министр Израиля Биньямин Нетаньяху, сообщает Times of Israel.
«Некоторое время назад военно-воздушные силы атаковали цели террористической организации хуситов в Йемене, как на побережье, так и в Сане, - заявил он в видеообращении из командного центра ВВС в штаб-квартире ЦАХАЛА в Кирье в Тель-Авиве. - Мы полны решимости отрезать эту террористическую ветвь иранской оси зла. Мы будем упорствовать в этом, пока не завершим начатое».
Нетаньяху находился на базе вместе с министром обороны Исраэлем Кацем, начальником штаба ЦАХАЛ генерал-лейтенантом Герци Халеви.
Командующий ВВС Израиля генерал-майор Томер Бар будет руководить израильскими ударами по хуситам, говорится в заявлении его офиса.
По данным Армии обороны Израиля (ЦАХАЛ), целью атак была «инфраструктура, используемая террористическим режимом Хуситов для своей военной деятельности» в международном аэропорту Саны в столиц Йемена, электростанции в Хезязе и Рас-Канатибе и инфраструктура в портах Ходейда, Салиф и Рас-Канатиб на побережье».
