Վաշինգտոնն արձագանքեց Հայաստանին զինելու մասին Ալիևի մեղադրանքներին. «Ազատություն»

Պաշտոնական Վաշինգտոնն արձագանքել է Հայաստանին զինելու մասին Ադրբեջանի նախագահի մեղադրանքներին՝ «Ազատությանը» հայտնելով, որ Միացյալ Նահանգների անվտանգային աջակցությունը և՛ Հայաստանին, և՛ Ադրբեջանին ուղղված է ԱՄՆ-ի և ՆԱՏՕ-ի ուժերի հետ փոխգործակցության ամրապնդմանը՝ բարելավելու բանակի պրոֆեսիոնալիզմը, ինչպես նաև Իրանի հետ երկու երկրների սահմանի ամրապնդմանը։
Ռուսական պետական հեռուստաալիքներին տված իր վերջին հարցազրույցում Իլհամ Ալիևը պնդել էր, թե Հայաստանին զենքի մատակարարման հարցում առաջատարը Ֆրանսիան է, երկրորդ տեղում Հնդկաստանն է, երրորդում՝ ԱՄՆ-ը։
«Ֆրանսիան ու Հնդկաստանը չեն թաքցնում, որ Հայաստանին մահաբեր զենք են մատակարարում, ԱՄՆ-ը չի խոստովանում, բայց մենք հետևել ենք [ամերիկյան] ռազմական բեռնատար ինքնաթիռներին, որոնք վայրէջք են կատարել հայկական օդանավակայաններում ու զինամթերք տարել», - ասել էր Ալիևը։
Ո՛չ Երևանը, ո՛չ Վաշինգտոնը երբևէ չեն հայտարարել զինամթերքի մատակարարման մասին։ Ի՞նչ զինամթերքի մասին է խոսում Ալիևը, և արդյոք իրականությանը համապատասխանո՞ւմ է նրա պնդումը. «Ազատության» այս հարցին Պետդեպարտամենտի խոսնակն ուղիղ չի պատասխանել, միայն նշել է. - «Միացյալ Նահանգներն Հայաստանին ու Ադրբեջանին իր անվտանգային աջակցությունն այնպես է հաշվարկում, որպեսզի վստահ լինի, որ այն հարձակողական նպատակներով կիրառելի չէ ու չի խաթարում կամ խոչընդոտում կայուն և արժանապատիվ խաղաղության շուրջ բանակցությունների շարունակական ջանքերին»։
Մեթյու Միլլերը նաև շեշտել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգներն աջակցում է Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի միջև շարունակական շփումներին՝ աշխատելու կոնֆլիկտի խաղաղ կարգավորման ուղղությամբ։
