ՀՀ նախկին արտգործնախարար Վարդան Օսկանյանը վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին առաջարկել է բանավիճել արցախյան բանակցություններիթեմայով՝ առաջադրելով մեկ պայման:
«Նախկին նախագահները մերժեցին Փաշինյանի հետ բանավիճելու առաջարկը, հիմա որ նրանք մերժել են ես ուզում եմ ասել, որ ես 1992 թվականից ԼՂ բանակցությունների առաջին գծում եմ եղել, հասցրել եմ 2008-ին իր բանակցային գագաթնակետին, երբ ստացել ենք Մադրիդյան սկզբունքների փաստաթուղթը, որտեղ առաջին անգամ ամրագրվում էր ԼՂ ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը եւ դա հաստատվում էր երեք համանախագահող երկրների կողմիցեւ եղել է իրենց կողմից եղել է այդ առաջարկությունը, որ ԼՂ-ն իրավունք ունի հանրաքվեի միջոցով որոշել իր ճակատագիրը, սա իսկապես մեծ հաջողություն էր: Մինչ այդ ես մասնակցություն եմ ունեցել բոլոր այլ տեսակի փաստաթղթերին, նրանք 5-ն են եղել, այդ բոլորին ունեցել եմ իմ ակտիվ մասնակցությունը, լավատեղյակ եմ դրանց բովանդակության մասին:
Չափազանցություն չի լինի, եթե ասեմ, որ նույնիսկ հիմա, այսքան ժամանակ անց կարող եմ վերարտադրել բոլորի բովանդակությունը եւ այդ բոլորի իմաստը: Եերեւի հավակնոտ չի լինի, որ ասեմ, նախագահներից հետո հազվագյուտ մարդկանցից եմ, որ իսկապես տիրապետում եմ ողջ գործընթացին: Այդ հանգամանքից ելնելով ուզում եմ ասել հետեւյալը, ես ելնելով այն հանգամանքից, որ լավատեղյակ եմ գործընթացից, թույլ չեմ տալու, որ Փաշինյանը շարչունակի խաբել մեր ժողովրդին, թույլ չեմ տալու դա անել հանուն Եռաբլուրում հանգչող մեր տղաների, հանուն ազգային պատմության, հաջորդ սերունդների: Ես իրավունք ունեմ դա անելու, քանի որ լավատեղյակ եմ կարող եմ ասել ժողովրդին, որ նա խաբում է իր մեղքերը քավելու համար:
Ոււստի ես ինքս եմ ձեռնոց նետում Փաշինյանին, որ եդթե դու անկեղծ ես քո ասածին, արի մենք հանրային բանավեճ ունենանք, որ ես ժոցղովրդի առաջ քո աչքերիննայելով քեզ համոզեմ, որ դու սխալ ես, բայց մեկ պայմանով, որ դու պարտվելուց հետո, ես համոզված եմ, որ դու կպարտվես, որովհետեւ սնանկ են քո բոլոր, դու խոստանաս մեր ժողովրդին, որ փոխես քո քաղաքականությունը ԼՂ հարցում, դու առնվազն մոտ ապագայումբանակցային օրակարգ բերես ԼՂ հայերի իրենց հայրենիք, իրենց տները վերադառնալու հարցը»,- ասել է նա:
