Премьер-министр и министр обороны Израиля посетили вершину горы Хермон на сирийской стороне границы

Премьер-министр Израиля Биньямин Нетаньяху и министр обороны Исраэль Кац посетили вершину горы Хермон на сирийской стороне границы  сегодня после того, как на прошлой неделе это место было захвачено Армией обороны Израиля (ЦАХАЛ), передает Times of Israel.

«Вершина горы Хермон - это глаза Государства Израиль, которые позволяют обнаруживать ближние и дальние угрозы. Армия обороны Израиля находится здесь для того, чтобы защищать общины на Голанских высотах и граждан Государства Израиль от любой угрозы, находясь в самом важном для этого месте», - заявил Кац.

«Мы будем здесь столько, сколько потребуется. Наше присутствие здесь, на вершине Хермон, укрепляет безопасность и добавляет измерение наблюдения и сдерживания к опорным пунктам ”Хезболлы" в долине Бекаа в Ливане, а также к сдерживанию повстанцев в Дамаске, которые притворяются умеренными, но принадлежат к самым экстремистским исламским сектам», - добавил Кац.

К Нетаньяху и Кацу присоединился начальник штаба ЦАХАЛ генерал-лейтенант, пишет израильское СМИ.
