ՌԴ-ում վերջին մեկ տարվա ընթացքում տասնյակներով բարձրաստիճան զինվորականներ պաշտոններից հանվեցին, շատերի նկատմամբ, այդ թվում` նախարարի տեղակալների, վարչության պետերի, տարբեր հոդվածներով քրեական վարույթներ նախաձեռնվեցին (հիմնականում կոռուպցիոն բնույթի հանցագործությունների հոդվածներով), մեծ թվով զինվորականներ կալանավորվեցին:
Սակայն այս ընթացքում ո´չ ՌԴ նախագահը, ո´չ քաղաքական վերնախավի մյուս դեմքերը արձանագրված դեպքերը չտարածեցին բոլոր զինվորականների նկատմամբ, այդ հիմքով բանակը որպես ամբողջություն չթիրախավորեցին, չվարկաբեկեցին և չանարգեցին:
Ավելին, որևէ մեկի մտքով չանցավ բանակը երկրորդական ինստիտուտ հռչակելու և հիշեցնելու, որ նրանք պարտական են հարկ վճարողներին, ըստ այդմ` հերոսը հարկ վճարողն է, այլ ոչ թե հայրենիքի պաշտպանությունը որպես մասնագիտություն ընտրած անձինք:
