Դեկտեմբերի 13-ին ՀՀ ԱԳՆ գլխավոր քարտուղար Դավիթ Կարապետյանը մասնակցել է «Բուդապեշտի գլոբալ երկխոսությանը» և ելույթ ունեցել «Միացնելով կետերը. էներգիա, տեխնոլոգիա և առևտուր» խորագրով պանելային քննարկման ժամանակ: Այդ մասին հայտնում են ՀՀ ԱԳՆ-ից։
Իր ելույթի ընթացքում գլխավոր քարտուղարն ընդգծել է, որ այժմյան բազմապիսի սպառնալիքները լրջորեն խաթարում են միջազգային խաղաղությունը, կայուն զարգացումը և մարդու իրավունքները։
Նա շեշտել է, որ որևէ երկիր ի վիճակի չէ ինքնուրույն հաղթահարել այդ գլոբալ մարտահրավերները, և արդյունավետ բազմակողմ հարաբերությունները կարևոր են մարդու իրավունքների առաջմղման, օրենքի գերակայության ամրապնդման, աղքատության վերացման, պարենային անվտանգության ապահովման, սոցիալական ներառականության խրախուսման, գենդերային հավասարության ապահովման և երիտասարդության հզորացման համար:
Իր խոսքում նա մասնավորապես նշել է.
«Համոզված լինելով, որ տարածաշրջանային երկխոսությունը փոխշահավետ համագործակցության հաստատման բանալին է՝ Հայաստանի կառավարությունը ներկայացրել է «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախաձեռնությունը։ Ընդգրկման, ոչ խտրական սկզբունքով տարածաշրջանային ենթակառուցվածքների օգտագործման և բոլոր շահագրգիռ կողմերի համար բարեկեցիկ ապագա կառուցելու տեսլականով առաջնորդվելով՝ այս նախագիծն ուղղված է տարածաշրջանի երկրների միջև հաղորդակցությունների զարգացմանը՝ նորոգելով, կառուցելով և շահագործելով ճանապարհներ, երկաթուղիներ, մալուխներ և էլեկտրագծեր՝ հարգելով պետական ինքնիշխանությունը, տարածքային ամբողջականությունը և հավասարության ու փոխադարձության սկզբունքները։ «Խաղաղության խաչմերուկ» նախագիծը մեծ կարևորություն է տալիս փոխադարձ վստահության կառուցմանը, որպես խաղաղության հիմնաքար։ Իր հարևանների և միջազգային գործընկերների հետ ակտիվորեն համագործակցելով՝ Հայաստանը նպատակ ունի վերակառուցել տարածաշրջանում համագործակցությունը և նպաստել ժողովուրդների միջև փոխըմբռնման հաստատմանը»։
Գլխավոր քարտուղարը նաև կարևորել է տեխնոլոգիական արագ առաջընթացը և թվային ոլորտի աննախադեպ հնարավորությունները, որոնք կարող են լուծել հրատապ խնդիրներ, այդ թվում տնտեսական աճի, սոցիալական արդարության և շրջակա միջավայրի պահպանության առնչությամբ։
