Հայաստանի և Թուրքիայի ներկայացուցիչները հայ-թուրքական սահմանին հանդիպել են  ու քննարկել Ախուրիկ– Աքյաքա երկաթուղային անցակետը վերագործարկելու հարցը։ Այդ մասին Հանրային հեռուստաընկերության եթերում ասել է Հայաստանի և Թուրքիայի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ռուբեն Ռուբինյանը։

«Դա երկաթուղային հատումնե է ՀՀ եւ Թուրքիայի եկարթուղիների, ավելի հայտնի է Կարս-Գյումրի անվանումով, այդ հանիպումը տեղի է ունեցել, երկու կողմերից համապատասխան գերատեսչություններ են մասնակցել, այսինքն այն գերատեսչությունները, այսինքն այն գերատեսչությունները, որոնց կարող է վերաբերել երկաթուղու վերագործարկման կարողությունը, բավականին մեծ պատվիրակություն է եղել, հանդիպումը կայացել է շատկառուցողական մթնոլորտում»,- ասաց նա՝ հավելելով, որ հանդիպմանը ներկա են եղել այն գերատեսչությունների ներկայացուցիչները, որոնք պատասխանատու կլինեն Անիի պատմական կամրջի վերականգնման համար:

Ռուբինյանը նշում է, որ Հայաստանի և Թուրքիայի միջև չկա քաղաքական պայմանավորվածություն, որ երկաթուղին պետք է վերագործակվի:

«Պայմանավորվածություն չկա, բայց կարող է գործընթացի հակառակն էլ լինել, որ երկու կողմերըհասկանալով եւ ըմբռնելով, որ իրենց վերջնական նպատակն է երկու երկրների սահմանի ամբողջական բացումը, իսկ այդպիսի ըմնբռնում կա, մենք նաեւ նման շփումներում նախապատրաստվում ենք դրան, այդ թվում տեխնիկական առոըմով»,-ասաց նա:
