Սիրիայի նախկին նախագահ Բաշար ալ-Ասադը, ով կորցրել է իշխանությունը այն բանից հետո, երբ սիրիացի ապստամբները գրավել են Դամասկոսը և փախել Ռուսաստան, կարող է բնակություն հաստատել Ռուսաստանի մայրաքաղաքի Մոսկվա Սիթի էլիտար թաղամասում, որտեղ նրա հարազատները ունեն անշարժ գույք, գրում է Bild-ը։

Ըստ Financial Times-ի՝ 2013-ից 2019 թվականներին Ասադի հարազատները գնել են առնվազն 19 շքեղ բնակարան Մոսկվա Սիթիում՝ առնվազն 40 միլիոն դոլար արժողությամբ, փաստաթղթերի համաձայն՝ 13 սեփականություն պատկանում է Ասադի զարմիկին՝ Հաֆիզ Մախլուֆին կամ նրա կողմից վերահսկվող ընկերություններին: Մեկ այլ զարմիկի կինը՝ Ռամի Մախլուֆը, գնել է ևս երկու բնակարան։

Չորս բնակարան գրանցված է Ասադի զարմիկների՝ Իհաբի և Իյադ Մախլուֆի անունով։ Նաև Ասադի զարմիկը՝ Մախլուբը, երեք սենյականոց բնակարան է գնել Մոսկվայի բիզնես կենտրոնից մի քանի րոպե հեռավորության վրա։ Սիրիայի նախկին նախագահի հարազատներն օֆշորային ընկերությունների միջոցով թանկարժեք անշարժ գույք են գնել Ռուսաստանի մայրաքաղաքում։

Ասադների ընտանիքը վաղուց սերտ կապեր ունի Ռուսաստանի հետ։ Նրա ավագ որդին՝ Հաֆեզ Ալ-Ասադը, ավարտեց ասպիրանտուրան դեկտեմբերի սկզբին և պաշտպանեց իր թեկնածուական թեզը Մոսկվայի պետական ​​համալսարանում (ՄՊՀ): Նա շնորհակալություն է հայտնել համալսարանի ռեկտոր Վիկտոր Սադովնիչիին՝ այս հարցում ցուցաբերած օգնության համար։

Բաշար ալ-Ասադը հրաժարական տվեց նախագահի պաշտոնից և լքեց Սիրիան դեկտեմբերի 8-ին, երբ սիրիացի ապստամբները, առանց հակառակության, մոտեցան հանրապետության մայրաքաղաք Դամասկոսին, ապա վերահսկողության տակ առան այն։ Ռուսաստանը «մարդասիրական նկատառումներով» նրան ապաստան է տվել։ ՌԴ ԱԳՆ-ն հայտարարություն է տարածել, որում նշվում է, որ Ասադը որոշել է հեռանալ նախագահությունից ապստամբների հետ բանակցություններից հետո և լքել երկիրը՝ «հանձնարարականներ տալով իրականացնել իշխանության փոխանցումը խաղաղ ճանապարհով»։ Միաժամանակ, իշխանությունն իր ձեռքն առած ընդդիմությունը հայտարարել է Սիրիայի նախկին նախագահի գլխի համար 10 մլն դոլար պարգևի մասին։

Ասադը 59 տարեկան է։ Նա նախագահ է 2000 թվականից՝ անվիճելի հանրաքվեից հետո հաջորդելով իր հորը՝ Հաֆեզ ալ-Ասադին։ Ըստ Washington Post-ի՝ նոյեմբերի 27-ին սկսված ապստամբների հարձակումից մի քանի շաբաթ առաջ նրան առաջարկվել է դադարեցնել մատակարարումները լիբանանյան «Հեզբոլլահ» խմբավորմանը, զսպել քրդական ուժերին և վերադարձնել Թուրքիայից սիրիացի փախստականների մի մասին՝ ԱՄՆ պատժամիջոցների չեղարկման  և Անկարայի հետ հարաբերությունների բարելավման դիմաց, սակայն Ասադը հրաժարվել է դրանից։
