Դամասկոսն ընկավ… պատերազմը եռում է մեր շուրջ։ Ես, անգամ մի շաբաթ բացակայելով, վախենում եմ, որ իմ Հենման կետ-մի կտոր հողն էլ կտանեն…
Երբ իմ Երկրում եմ, թվում է՝ ամուր բռնել եմ, ու կպահեմ… թվում է…
Աշխարհը եռում է, հայերը՝ ցրված աշխարհով մեկ՝ խաղաղ հանգրվանի փնտրտուքով… ուրիշ հողում ու ուրիշի հողին։ Ես բռնվում եմ հատուկենտ ծիծաղներից, ընկերներից ու մայրամուտներից, որ գոնե երբեմն չլսեմ գոռոցը: Չէ, չեմ խաբում ինձ կամ ուրիշին, բոլորս էլ գիտենք, որ աշխարհը եռում է, մեկը գրում է դրա մասին, մյուսը գոռում,
երրորդը լռում, որ գոռոցին չավելացնի սարսափ։ ԲՈԼՈՐՆ էլ գիտեն, որ ԵՌՈւՄ Է, ու, որ հողը՝ հոսուն մատների արանքով, եթե բռունցք չես, իսկ ՉԵՆՔ.
Աշխարհը կամ աշխարհի քարտեզը վերաձևում են, ու չեմ «հասկանում»՝ մեր բարակիրան Չքնաղ Երկիրը կունենա՞ մի կտոր «հագուստ» գոնե…
Երեկ հագուստ էի փորձում, Երեք հագուստ… բարի մի միջոցառման համար՝ բարակիրան երեք հագուստ…
Մայրմուտներից կառչած ուզում եմ ոտքս ամուր լինի Հողին, որ ձգվե՜մ…
…այս նկարն ուրիշ բանի մասին էր… Որ Աստված Սեր է ու Սեր էր տարուբերվում օդում, ու տղան ասում էր կանգ առ, նայիր Մեջբոլորդ, ու Աղջիկն ասում էր կանգ առ, նայիր ՇՈւՐՋԲՈԼՈՐԴ, ու կանգ առնելու ժամանակ չկար, ու հարկավոր էր առաջ, էլի առաջ, բայց ամեն ինչ մնում էր հետո… էլի հետո…
Լայն բացած աչքերով նայում եմ Մայրամուտին, որ չգոռա վրաս… Սերը կորցրած աշխարհը»։
