Այսօր ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհուրդը փակ դռների հետևում արտակարգ նիստ կանցկացնի՝ նախագահ Բաշար ալ Ասադի կառավարության տապալումից հետո Սիրիայում տեղի ունեցող զարգացումները քննարկելու համար։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Tasnim գործակալությունը:
Նոյեմբերի 27-ին սիրիական ընդդիմադիր զինված խմբավորումների անդամները լայնածավալ հարձակում են սկսել Հալեպ և Իդլիբ նահանգներում կառավարական դիրքերի դեմ։ Դեկտեմբերի 7-ի երեկոյան Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար ալ Ասադի հակառակորդները գրավել են մի քանի խոշոր քաղաքներ՝ Հալեպը, Համան, Դեյր էզ Զորը, Դարաան և Հոմսը։ Կիրակի առավոտյան նրանք մտել են մայրաքաղաք Դամասկոս, որից հետո սիրիական բանակի ստորաբաժանումները լքել են քաղաքը։ Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար ալ Ասադը ներսիրիական բանակցություններից հետո լքել է պաշտոնը և երկիրը։
