«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Ինչպես հայտնի է, Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը իր քպական պատգամավոր Հովիկ Աղազարյանին «հորդորել է» մանդատը վայր դնել։ Հովիկ Աղազարյանն էլ, չի բացառվում՝ հասկանալով այդ «հորդորի» անօրինականությունը, հապաղում է՝ պատճառ բերելով ինչ-որ ընկերոջ, որն «էսա-էսա» պետք է Մոսկվայից գար... Այնուհետև տեղի են ունենում ՔՊ վարչության, խմբակցության նիստեր, որտեղ ևս, ըստ տարբեր տեղեկությունների, կոչ են արել Հովիկ Աղազարյանին մանդատը վայր դնել, թեպետ ասում են՝ կան նաև քպականներ, որոնք խիստ դեմ են և հակառակն են հորդորում կուսակից ընկերոջը։

Այս ընթացքում, սակայն, տեղի ունեցավ իրադարձություն, որը, հնարավոր է, փոխել է պատգամավոր Աղազարյանի ճակատագիրը։ Մասնավորապես, «Հայաստան» խմբակցության պատգամավոր Գեղամ Նազարյանը խմբակցության դիրքորոշմանը հակառակ կարծիք է հայտնել։ Մինչ շատերը պնդում էին, թե Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանն էլ Գեղամ Նազարյանին է Փաշինյանի օրինակով «հորդորելու» մանդատը վայր դնել, Նազարյանին ընդամենը հեռացրին խմբակցությունից։ Ավելին, Գեղամ Նազարյանն ինքը հայտնեց, որ Քոչարյանը, հակառակը, հորդորել է վայր չդնել մանդատը։

Այս իրադարձության պատճառով Փաշինյանը, ըստ մեր տեղեկությունների, ինչպես ասում են՝ «ընկել է թակարդը» և առանձնապես այլևս չի պնդել Աղազարյանին ուղղված իր հորդորը՝ ըստ երևույթին, Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի քայլից հետո բարի ու գուցե ժողովրդավար երևալու համար։ Աղազարյանն էլ իր հերթին հայտարարեց, թե խորհրդակցել է իր «խորհրդավոր ընկերոջ» հետ ու որոշել է «մերժել վարչապետի խնդրանքը»:
