mediana.press-ը գրում է, որ Հայաստանը երբեք բարձր մակարդակով չի արձագանքել «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան» նախագծին, որն այդքան ակտիվորեն քարոզում է Բաքուն», «Գլոբալ անվտանգություն և աշխարհաքաղաքական մարտահրավերներ» միջազգային համաժողովի շրջանակներում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է պատմական գիտությունների թեկնածու, վերլուծաբան, Կիրառական քաղաքական հետազոտությունների ինստիտուտի գիտաշխատող Սերգեյ Մելքոնյանը՝ մեկնաբանելով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի վերջին հայտարարությունները: Հիշեցնենք, որ վերջերս Հայաստանի Հանրային հեռուստաընկերությանը տված հարցազրույցում Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, մասնավորապես, հայտարարել էր, թե երբ ասում ենք «Արևմտյան Հայաստան», չե՞նք կարծում, որ դա ինչ-որ մեկին կնյարդայնացնի այնպես, ինչքան մեզ նյարդայնացնում է «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան» տերմինը։ Միաժամանակ, Փաշինյանը խոստովանել էր, որ այդ խոսքերից հետո իրեն կրկին կմեղադրեն դավաճանության և ստորության մեջ։
 
«Բայց ես մի իրավիճակում եմ, երբ պարտավոր եմ խոսել ժողովրդի հետ և ցույց տալ պատճառահետևանքային հարաբերությունները: Եթե ես դա չանեմ, ուրեմն միտումնավոր երկիրը տանում եմ պետականության կորստի»,- հավելել էր նա։ Սերգեյ Մելքոնյանը նշել է, որ, այսպես կոչված, «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջանը» ադրբեջանական կողմի նոր պահանջն է Հայաստանի տարածքային ամբողջականության և ինքնիշխանության դեմ։ «Եվ Հայաստանը պաշտոնապես որևէ կերպ չի արձագանքում դրան։ Բայց դրա դիմաց պաշտոնական մակարդակով փորձ է արվում այն նույնացնել Արևմտյան Հայաստանի հետ։ Փաստորեն, դա նշանակում է, որ նրանք կրկին փորձում են առաջ մղել «իրական Հայաստանի» և «պատմական Հայաստանի» մասին այդ ֆրեյմը։
 
Բայց խնդիրն այն է, որ Ադրբեջանը նման ֆրեյմով չի առաջնորդվում, ընդհակառակը, այդ երկիրն ապրում է, այսպես կոչված, պատմական Ադրբեջանի օրակարգով, որը հակադրվում է «իրական Հայաստանին»: Այս պարագայում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի մոտեցումները չեն համընկնում։ Հետևաբար, եթե Երևանն առաջ է մղում, այսպես կոչված, «իրական Հայաստանի» օրակարգը, ապա Ադրբեջանը, ընդհակառակը, խոսում է իր պատմական նկրտումների մասին։ Եվ այդ հակասությունը չի կարող բերել խաղաղության»,- ասել է Մելքոնյանը։
