ԱԺ Հայաստան խմբակցության պատգամավոր Լեւոն Քոչարյանը անդրադարձել է ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի աղմկահարույց հայտարարությանը՝ Արեւմտյան Հայաստան եւ Արեւմտյան Ադրբեջան եզրույթների մասին: Նա իր տելեգրամյան ալիքում գրել է.
«1.5 միլիոն հայեր ցեղասպանվել են ու շատերն էլ աքսորվել իրենց տներից, քաղաքներից՝ այնտեղ թողնելով ամեն ինչ, ներառյալ մշակութային ժառանգությունը: Այս փաստն ընդունել են աշխարհի գրեթե 30 երկրներ, դատապարտելով Օսմանյան Կայրսության արածն ու որակել դա ցեղասպանություն: Այս ամենի արդյունքում է, որ այսօրվա Թուրքիայի արևելյան մասը հայերն անվանում են «Արևմտյան Հայաստան»: Եվ սա բերել նույնացնել նրա հետ, որ Ադրբեջանն ամենաբարձր մակարդակով Հայաստանը համարում է «Արևմտյան Ադրբեջան», տգիտությունից բացի նաև ստորություն է»,- գրել է նա:
Նշենք, որ Փաշինյանը իր հարցազրույցում ասել էր. «Հիմա մենք ինչքան նեղվում ենք, ծանր ենք տանում, պրոբլեմ ենք համարում, որ ինչ-որ տեղ ինչ-որ մարդիկ օգտագործում են «Արեւմտյան Ադրբեջան» տերմինը, չէ՞, բա մենք որ ասում ենք «Արեւմտյան Հայաստան», չենք մտածո՞ւմ, որ ինչ-որ մարդկանց դա գրգռում ա։ Ոնց ասում են «Արեւմտյան Ադրբեջան», մեզ ա գրգռում, նենց էլ ոնց ասում ենք «Արեւմտյան Հայաստան», ուրիշներին ա գրգռում։ Հիմա էլի ասելու են՝ ա՜, հերթական դավաճանությունը, էս ստոր տականքությունը։ Ես էսօր գտնվում եմ մի կարգավիճակում եւ մի պատասխանատվության մեջ, ես պարտավոր եմ մեր ժողովրդի հետ խոսել եւ ցույց տալ պատճառահետեւանքային կապերը, շղթաները։ Եթե ես դա չանեմ, նշանակում ա ես գիտակացաբար մեր երկիրը տանում եմ դեպի պետականության կորուստ․ ես չեմ կարող դա թույլ տալ»:
