Մադրիդի Կոմպլուտենսի համալսարանի գիտնականներից 15 տարի է պահանջվել, որպեսզի ստեղծեն առաջին գալիումի տիտանի ֆոսֆիդով միջանկյալ ժապավենով (IB) արևային մարտկոց, որը կարող է հասնել 60 % էներգիայի փոխակերպման արդյունավետության։ Այս մասին գրել է Interestingengineering.com-ը, գրում է focus.ua-ն։
Սիլիցիումի վրա հիմնված արևային մարտկոցներն օգտագործում են իրենց վրա ընկած լույսի միայն մի մասը, մնացածն անջատելով որպես ջերմություն: Սահմանաչափը կախված է այն նյութից, որից պատրաստված են սարքերը: Սիլիցիումի համար սահմանային գոտու լայնությունը կազմում է 1.3 eV է, իսկ ՕԳԳ-ի սահմանը 33.7 % է: Դա փաստացի նշանակում է, որ լավագույն դեպքում նույնիսկ ամենաբարձր որակի տարրերը չեն կարող օգտագործել իրենց վրա ընկած լույսի 77.3 %-ից ավելին:
Մադրիդի Կոմպլուտենսի համալսարանի թիմն ավելի քան 15 տարի աշխատել է գալիումի ֆոսֆիդի (Gap) և տիտանի (Ti) հետ փորձելով ստեղծել ավելի արդյունավետ արևային մարտկոց: Քանի որ սահմանային գոտին կախված է կիսահաղորդչային նյութի տիրույթից, գիտնականներն ընտրել են գալիումի ֆոսֆիդը, որն ունի 2,26 eV տիրույթ: Թիմը ստեղծել է 1 քառակուսի մետր մակերեսով գալիումի ֆոսֆիդի կլանիչ և տիտանի 50 նմ-ից ոչ ավելի հաստությամբ շերտով արևային մարտկոց, որի մետաղական կոնտակտները ոսկուց ու գերմանիումից են: Մի շարք փորձերի միջոցով, որոնք չափում էին հաղորդունակությունը և արտացոլումը, թիմը պարզել է, որ մարտկոցն ունի լայն գոտի՝ 550 նմ-ից բարձր ալիքի երկարությամբ լույսի բարելավված կլանման շնորհիվ: Դա, հավանաբար, պայմանավորված է տեղադրման ժամանակ տիտանի օգտագործմամբ: Մարտկոցի տեսական ՕԳԳ-ն կազմել է մոտ 60 %:
Հետազոտողներն առաջին անգամ աշխատել են այդ նյութերի հետ սկսած 2009 թվականից, սակայն դրանցով հագեցած առաջին սարքերը ստեղծելու համար նրանցից պահանջվել է 15 տարի: Նույնիսկ այս փուլում այդ ՖՎ բջիջները դեռ մոտ չեն դաշտային պայմաններում փորձարկումներին: Դրանց արդյունավետությունը ցածր է, և դեռ շատ անելիքներ կան, գրում են լրատվամիջոցները։
Թիմը նախ ցանկանում է ստեղծել պրոտոտիպային արևային մարտկոցը, որը ցուց կտա ավելի բարձր արդյունավետություն: Նրանք նաև մտադիր են լուծել արևային մարտկոցների նախագծման խնդիրներն ապագայում տիտանի ներդրման տարբեր մոտեցումների կիրառմամբ: Այս տեխնոլոգիայի կոմերցիոն ընդունումը կարող է երկար ժամանակ տևել, բայց դա ցուց է տալիս, որ արևային մարտկոցների ներուժը այլևս սահմանափակված չէ:
