Մի քանի հազար մարդ հերթ է կանգնել Ավստրալիայի հարավ-արևելքի Ջիլոնգ բուսաբանական այգում` տեսնելու համար Amorphophallus titanum-ի ծաղկումը` աշխարհի ամենամեծ ծաղկաբույլերից մեկը: Դրա մասին հայտնել է 9News հեռուստաալիքը։

Քանի որ անսովոր բույսի ծաղկումը, որը տեղի է ունենում միայն մի քանի տարին մեկ անգամ, կտևի ընդամենը 48 ժամ, տնօրինությունը բուսաբանական այգին շուրջօրյա բաց է թողել հանրության համար, բայց դա չի օգնել խուսափել խպառնաշփոթից։ «Այս երկու օրվա ընթացքում մենք 24 ժամ շարունակ բաց կլինենք, որպեսզի մեր հյուրերը ականատես լինեն այս արտասովոր իրադարձությանը և հազվագյուտ և եզակի բույսերի տեսակների հանրահռչակման գործում գնահատեն բուսաբանական այգիների դերը», - հեռուստատեսության եթերում նշել է այգու տնօրեն Ալի Ուեսթին:

Հազվագյուտ բույսի ծաղիկը կարող է հասնել 3 մետր բարձրության և ծաղկման ժամանակ արձակում է գերեզմանափոր բզեզներին և ճանճերին իր վրա ձգող նեխած հոտ: «Այս բույսին ոչնչացում է սպառնում, նրա վայրի պոպուլյացիան անկում է ապրում, և այն գոնե բուսաբանական այգիներում պահպանելն այդքան կարևոր է։ Եվ նման հսկայի ծաղկումը, և նույնիսկ տեղի է ունենում այդքան հազվադեպ, իհարկե, բացառիկ հնարավորություն է մարդկանց ուշադրությունը խնդրի վրա հրավիրելու համար»,-շեշտել է Ուեսթին:

Amorphophallus titanum-ը 1878 թվականին Արևմտյան Սումատրայում հայտնաբերված խոշոր արևադարձային բույս ​​է։ Այն ունի աշխարհի ամենամեծ ծաղկաբույլերից մեկը և վայրի բնության մեջ կարող է հասնել 3,66 մետր բարձրության, արմատավորված բույսերը չափերով ավելի փոքր են և ունեն 1,83-ից մինչև 2,44 մետր բարձրություն:
