«5 հարց՝ Արմեն Աշոտյանին» հեռակա զրույցի շրջանակներում ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ, քաղբանտարկյալ Արմեն Աշոտյանը դարձյալ պատասխանել է քաղաքացիների հարցերին:

Քաղաքացի Կարեն Սարգսյանը նրան հարցրել է.

«Քաղաքական և անվտանգային հարցերից բացի, մտահոգիչ զարգացումներ կան նաև այլ ոլորտներում, օրինակ, միջուկային էներգետիկայի ոլորտում։ Նիկոլենք պատրաստվում են փակել մեր ատոմակայանը, իսկ փոխարենն ինչ-որ տարօրինակ լուծումներ են առաջարկում։ Ո՞նց եք վերաբերվում էներգետիկ անվտանգության այս սպառնալիքներին»:

Արմեն Աշոտյանը տնային կալանքի կրման վայրից պատասխանել է.

 «Ամբողջությամբ իրավացի եք. պետության կազմաքանդման գործընթացը ներառում է տարբեր ոլորտներ, այդ թվում՝ էնեգետիկան։ Իրականում խնդիրը բազմաշերտ է։ Նախ, Հայկական ատոմակայանի դեմ Թուրքիան և Ադրբեջանը վաղուց են պայքարում, քանզի այն հանդիսանում է մեր անվտանգային համակարգի կարևոր հանգույցներից մեկը: Ուստի տարօրինակ չէ, որ Նիկոլը պատրաստ է բավարարել նրանց նաև այդ պահանջը։ Վերջիվերջո, Արցախը հանձնածի համար ի՞նչ խնդիր է՝ հանձնել նաև Մեծամորը։ 

Չմոռանանք նաև, որ ատոմակայանը միաժամանակ գեոպոլիտիկ գործոն է, և հակառուսական քաղաքականության շրջանակներում խնդիր է դրված փոխարինել Ռուսաստանին նաև էներգետիկ ոլորտում։ Ուստի Նիկոլը կփորձի մեկ հարվածով բավարարել երկու տերերին՝ թուրքերին և Արևմուտքին։ Հատկանշական է, որ նույն Թուրքիան Ռուսաստանի աջակցությամբ սեփական ատոմակայանն է կառուցում, տարածաշրջանում նույն կերպ է վարվում նաև Իրանը։

Առհասարակ աշխարհով մեկ ատոմային էներգետիկան զարթոնք է ապրում, նույնիսկ ՏՏ ոլորտի գիգանտներն են հայտարարել, որ նպատակ ունեն սեփական միջուկային էներգետիկ կարողությունները զարգացնել։ Իսկ Ադրբեջանն իր հերթին՝ պատրաստվում է ալտերնատիվ էներգիա արտահանել Եվրոպական միություն Սև ծովի հատակով՝ մոտ 2 միլիարդ եվրո արժողությամբ ծրագրի շրջանակներում։ Այս ֆոնին գործող վարչակազմի խաղերն էլ ավելի զավեշտալի են։ Փոքր մոդուլային ատոմակայանները ոչ միայն փորձարկված չեն, այլև Հայաստանին ջնջելու են նաև ռեգիոնալ էներգետիկ քարտեզներից։ Հայկական ատոմակայանը և նրա ապագան Հայաստանի իրական ինքնիշխանության հարց են»։
