ՀՀ Նախագահ, զինված ուժերի գերագույն գլխավոր հրամանատար Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր մասնակցել է մայրաքաղաքում ՀՀ ՊՆ պաշտպանական ազգային հետազոտական համալսարանի բացման հանդիսավոր արարողությանը, որին ներկա են եղել նաև ՀՀ և ԼՂՀ պաշտպանության նախարարները, ՀՀ զինված ուժերի բարձրագույն ղեկավար կազմը, գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարներ, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանում հավատարմագրված դեսպաններ, օտարերկրյա բարձրաստիճան հյուրեր, գիտու թյան և կրթության ոլորտի ներկայացուցիչներ:

Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, հանրապետության Նախագահը շրջայց է կատարել Համալսարանի նորակառույց մասնաշենքում, ծանոթացել հաստատության ծրագրերին, Համալսարանի գործունեության համար ստեղծված պայմաններին, այդ թվում՝ հետազոտական-կրթական նպատակներին ծառայող աշխատասենյակների հնարավորություններին, որից հետո ներկա է գտնվել Համալսարանի բացմանը նվիրված հանդիսավոր նիստին:

ՀՀ ՊՆ Դրաստամատ Կանայանի անվան Ազգային ռազմավարական հետազոտությունների ինստիտուտի պետ, գեներալ-մայոր, քաղաքական գիտությունների դոկտոր, պրոֆեսոր Հայկ Քոթանջյանի զեկույցից հետո, նիստում ողջույնի խոսքով հանդես են եկել ԱՄՆ պաշտպանական ազգային համալսարանի Դուայդ Դ. Էյզենհաուերի անվան ազգային անվտանգության և ռեսուրսների կառավարման ռազմավարության դպրոցի պրոֆեսոր Ջեյմս Քիգլը, Հարվարդի համալսարանի Ջոն Ֆ. Քենեդիի անվան պետության հետազոտությունների դպրոցի ազգային անվտանգության ծրագրի տնօրեն, գեներալ-լեյտենանտ, պրոֆեսոր Թեդ Օլսթրյոմը, Õ �ուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարարության Մոսկվայի միջազգային հարաբերությունների պետական ինստիտուտի (համալսարանի) Եվրաատլանտյան անվտանգության կենտրոնի տնօրեն, քաղաքական գիտությունների դոկտոր, պրոֆեսոր Ալեքսանդր Նիկիտինը: 



Համալսարանի գիտաժողովների դահլիճում տեղի է ունեցել նաև պարգևատրման հանդիսավոր արարողություն. ՀՀ Նախագահի հրամանագրերով, ՀՀ ՊՆ պաշտպանական ազգային հետազոտական համալսարանի հիմնադրման գործում ունեցած ավանդի համար Ջեյմս Քիգլը, Թեդ Օլսթրյոմը, Ալեքսանդր Նիկիտինը և Հավաքական անվտանգության մասին պայմանագրի կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար, ՀԱ ՊԿ գիտափորձագիտական խորհրդի նախագահ, գեներալ-գնդապետ Նիկոլայ Բորդյուժան պարգևատրվել են Երախտագիտության մեդալով:
