ԱՄՆ նորընտիր նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը երեքշաբթի ստացել է լատինաամերիկացի ընտրողների 46%-ի աջակցությունը՝ գերազանցելով Ռոնալդ Ռեյգանին և Ջորջ Բուշ կրտսերին՝ ստանալով երկրի հանրապետական թեկնածուների շրջանում վերջին ժամանակներս լատինաամերիկացիների ձայների ամենամեծ մասնաբաժինը, ըստ նոր էքզիթ փոլի՝ հայտնում է Axios-ը։
Թրամփի պատմական նվաճումները դեմոգրաֆիական բլոկների լատինաամերիկացի ընտրողների, մասնավորապես՝ տղամարդկանց շրջանում, հանգեցրել են նրան, որ փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսը դեմոկրատ նախագահի թեկնածուի համար վերջին 20 տարվա ընթացքում ամենավատ արդյունքն է գրանցել լատինամերիկացիների շրջանում:
Թրամփին աջակցում էին լատինաամերիկացի տղամարդիկ. նրանց 55%-ը քվեարկել է Թրամփի օգտին, մինչդեռ նրա օգտին, ըստ Edison Research-ի հարցման, քվեարկել է լատինաամերիկացի կանանց 38%-ը:
2004 թվականին ԱՄՆ տեխասցի նախագահ Ջորջ Բուշի օգտին քվեարկել էր լատինաամերիկացիների 44 տոկոսը: Նախագահ Ռոնալդ Ռեյգանը 1980 թվականին ստացել է լատինաամերիկացիների ձայների 37%-ը, իսկ 1984 թվականին՝ 34%-ը:
Հարրիսը ստացել է լատինաամերիկացիների ձայների 52%-ը, ինչը դեմոկրատների շրջանում վատագույն ցուցանիշն է 2004 թվականից ի վեր, և շատ ավելի ցածր է այն 64%-ից, որը սովորաբար անհրաժեշտ է եղել դեմոկրատ թեկնածուներին վերջին կես դարում նախագահական ընտրություններում հաղթելու համար:
Հյուսթոնի համալսարանի քաղաքագիտության պրոֆեսոր Ջերոնիմո Կորտինան Axios-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է, որ դեմոկրատները չկարողացան հստակ տնտեսական ուղերձ փոխանցել լատինաամերիկացիներին, մինչդեռ Թրամփը շեշտում էր դա իր բոլոր հանրահավաքներում և գովազդային հոլովակներում:
Հարիսի պայքարը լատինաամերիկացի ընտրողներին գրավելու համար հատկապես նկատելի էր քաղաքականապես բաժանված որոշ նահանգներում, որոնք վճռորոշ եղան ընտրությունների արդյունքների համար:
Օրինակ՝ Միչիգանում Թրամփը հավաքել է լատինաամերիկացի ընտրողների 58%-ը, մինչդեռ Հարիսն՝ ընդամենը 39%-ը, ըստ Edison-ի հարցման:
Հարիսը և Թրամփը Հյուսիսային Կարոլինայի և Նևադայի լատինաամերիկացի ընտրողների շրջանում հավասար արդյունք են գրանցել:
Թրամփը լատինաամերիկացիների շրջանում նախկինում դեմոկրատների գերակշռող տարածքներում միաժամանակ նոր ձեռքբերումներ է գրանցել:
