Ուրանի արբանյակի վրա հայտնաբերվել է թաքնված օվկիանոս, որում կյանքի առաջացման համար պայմաններ կան

Ամերիկացի գիտնականների խումբը քարտեզագրել է Ուրանի արբանյակ Միրանդայի մակերեսը, ինչպես նաև մոդելավորել դրա վրա մակընթացային ճնշման մեխանիզմները և եզրակացրել, որ այս լուսնի խորքերում կարող է լինել հեղուկ ջրի օվկիանոս, որում կյանքի առաջացման համար պայմաններ կան։
Միրանդայի վրա օվկիանոսի հաստությունը, ըստ գիտնականների, առնվազն 100 կմ է, և այն գոյություն ունի վերջին 100–500 միլիոն տարիների ընթացքում: Ճիշտ է, այն գտնվում է ոչ թե արբանյակի մակերեսին, այլ մոտ 30 կմ խորության վրա։
Իրենց վարկածը հաստատելու համար գիտնականներն ասում են, որ եթե Միրանդայի վրա ջուրն ամբողջությամբ սառած լիներ, ապա արբանյակի մակերեսին որոշակի տեսակի ճաքեր կհայտնվեին, ինչը կվկայեր սառած օվկիանոսի ներսից ընդարձակման մասին: Սակայն այս արբանյակի լուսանկարների ուսումնասիրությունը ցույց է տվել, որ նման ճեղքեր չկան։
Միրանդայի լուսանկարներից մեկն արել է ամերիկյան Voyager 2 տիեզերանավը, որը նրա կողքով անցել է 1986-ին։ Լուսանկարում երևում է լուսնի կոպիտ մակերեսը՝ ծածկված ակոսներով և խառնարաններով, որոնք գիտնականների կարծիքով ստեղծվել են մակընթացային ուժերի և լուսնի ներքին տաքացման հետևանքով:
Ելնելով մակերևույթի առանձնահատկություններից՝ գիտնականները մոդելավորել են Միրանդայի ընդերքը. նրանք վերլուծել են լարվածության և տեղաշարժերի մեխանիզմները, որպեսզի եզրահանգման գան ներքին ուժերի մասին, որոնք կարող էին ձևավորել նրա տեսքը: Խորը օվկիանոսը, նրանց կարծիքով, կարող էր առաջանալ ջերմային ազդակի արդյունքում, երբ արբանյակի ուղեծիրը փոխվել է Ուրանի այլ արբանյակների հետ գրավիտացիոն փոխազդեցության պատճառով։
«Այսքան խորը օվկիանոսը կարող էր Միրանդային շատ նման դարձնել [Սատուրնի արբանյակ] Էնցելադուսին և պոտենցիալ բնակելի երկրաբանորեն ոչ վաղ անցյալում»,- նշում են հետազոտողները:
