«Գայանե», «Սպարտակ», «Անուշ». ինչ «ճանապարհ է անցել» տարեկան ավելի քան 100 000 հանդիսատեսի՝ մշակույթի մեծ աշխարհ տանող Երևանի օպերային թատրոնը

Երեւանի օպերայի եւ բալետի թատրոնի պատմությունը սկիզբ է առնում 1930-ականների սկզբին, երբ սկսվեց հայկական օպերային արվեստի զարգացումը, սակայն այն պաշտոնապես բացվել է 1933 թվականի մայիսի 20-ին, եւ առաջին ներկայացումը Ալեքսանդր Սպենդարիանի «Ալմաստ» օպերան էր:
Թատրոնի ստեղծման նպատակը հայկական մշակույթի պահպանումն ու զարգացումն էր, ինչպես նաեւ ազգային օպերային արվեստի ստեղծումը: Թատրոնը շատ արագ դարձավ մշակութային կենտրոն, որտեղ ներկայացվում էին ոչ միայն հայկական, այլ նաեւ միջազգային բալետային ու օպերային բեմադրություններ:
Երեւանի օպերայի եւ բալետի թատրոնի հիմնասյուներից էին մի շարք նշանավոր արվեստագետներ, որոնք իրենց ներդրումն ունեն թատրոնի զարգացման գործում՝ Արամ Խաչատրյան, Ալեքսանդր Սպենդարյան և այլոք:
Այս արվեստագետները մեծ դեր են խաղացել թատրոնի պատմության մեջ եւ իրենց բացառիկ տաղանդով անմոռանալի դերեր են կերտել հանդիսատեսի համար:
Երեւանի օպերայի եւ բալետի ակադեմիական թատրոնի ամենահայտնի ներկայացումներից են Արմեն Տիգրանյանի «Դավիթ բեկ» օպերան, որը հայկական օպերայի հիմնաքարերից մեկն է. պրեմիերան տեղի է ունեցել 1950 թվականին, Արամ Խաչատրյանի հայտնի «Գայանե» բալետը, որն ընդգրկում է հայկական մշակույթի տարրեր եւ ունի տպավորիչ երաժշտություն, եւ Տիգրան Չուխաջյանի «Արշակ 2-րդ» օպերան: Այն մեծ ճանաչում է ձեռք բերել նա արտահայաստանյան օպերային կյանքում:
Երեւանի օպերայի եւ բալետի թատրոնը ներկայումս առաջարկում է մի շարք հայտնի ներկայացումներ, որոնք ներառում են ինչպես դասական, այնպես էլ ժամանակակից բալետներ ու օպերաներ:
Թատրոնի այցելուների քանակը տարբերում է՝ կախված ներկայացումից, սեզոնից եւ արտիստների մասնակցությունից: Միջին հաշվով, տարին ավելի քան 100,000 այցելու կարող է այցելել թատրոն:
Թատրոնը շարունակում է լինել մշակութային կարեւոր կենտրոն, որտեղ ներկայացվում են ինչպես ազգային, այնպես էլ միջազգային մակարդակի ներկայացումներ:
Այսօր Երեւանի օպերայի եւ բալետի թատրոնը հանդիսանում է Հայաստանի մշակույթի կարեւորագույն հաստատություններից մեկը եւ խաղում է մեծ դեր հայկական արվեստի տարածման գործում:
