Օրվա ընթացքում ստվերում կայանած փակ պատուհաններով մեքենան կարող է 400-800 մգ բենզոլ պարունակել։ Եթե մեքենան կանգնեցնեք արևի տակ 16 աստիճանից ավելի բարձր ջերմաստիճանում, ապա բենզոլի մակարդակը կարող է 2000-4000 մգ-ի հասնել, որը 40 անգամ ավելի բարձր է թույլատրված սահմանից։

Մարդիկ, ովքեր փակ պատուհաններով մեքենա են մտնում, չափազանց մեծ քանակությամբ բենզոլ են շնչում։ Բենզոլը թունավոր նյութ է, որը թունավորում է երիկամները, ոսկորներն ու լյարդը։ Ավելին՝ օրգանիզմի համար չափազանց բարդ է պաշտպանվել այս թունավոր նյութից, որոնք վտանգավոր քաղցկեղածին նյութեր են համարվում։

Մեքենաների օգտագործման հրահանգների գրքույկում նշված է, որ օդափոխիչը միացնելուց առաջ անհրաժեշտ է 2 րոպեով բացել պատուհանները, սակայն չի ասվում, թե ինչու։

Հետազոտությունների համաձայն՝ մինչև օդափոխիչը կսկսի սառեցնել օդը, այն արտազատում է տաքացած պլաստիկում կուտակված բենզոլ պարունակող տաք օդը։ Բենզոլը, ինչպես արդեն նշվեց, թույն է, որը քաղցկեղ է առաջացնում։ Օդափոխիչը միացնելուց հետո որոշ ժամանակ անց մեքենայում սկսում է պլաստիկի հոտ գալ։ 
Այդ իսկ պատճառով չափազանց կարևոր է մեքենայի պատուհանները բաց պահել։

Մեքենան գործի գցելիս օդափոխիչը միանգամից մի՛ միացրու

Առաջին հերթին անհրաժեշտ է մի քանի րոպեով բացել պատուհանները, այնուհետև միացնել օդափոխիչը։ Մեքենան գործի գցելուց հետո ևս մի քանի րոպե խորհուրդ է տրվում պատուհանները բաց թողնել։
