Հոկտեմբերի 20-ին օկուպացված Ստեփանակերտում մահացած 70-ամյա Վերա Աղասյանի հարազատները պատրաստվում են դիմել Կարմիր Խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեին, որպեսզի կնոջ մարմինը Հայաստանում հուղարկավորեն։ Այս մասին այսօր՝ հոկտեմբերի 25-ին, NEWS.am–ի հետ զրույցում հայտնեց Վերա Աղասյանի 32-ամյա դուստրը՝ նշելով, որ Վերա Աղասյանը 4 զավակ ունի, սակայն իրենց չի հաջողվել համոզել նրան ու Հայաստան բերել։
«Մայրս գյուղում էր ապրում։ Պատերազմի ժամանակ ես՝ երեք անչափահաս երեխաներիս հետ տեղափոխվեցի Հայաստան, չգիտեի, որ մայրս այնտեղ է մնացել։ Հետո անընդհատ համոզում էի իրեն, որ գար Հայաստան, սակայն նա չէր ցանկանում։ Մայրս հոգեկան առողջության հետ կապված խնդիրներ ուներ։
Մի քանի անգամ նաև Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեին եմ դիմել, սակայն ասել են, որ չեն կարող բռնի ուժով բերել մայրիկիս, եթե նա չի ցանկանում։ Վերջին վեց ամիսների ընթացքում մայրիկիս հետ զրուցել չի ստացվել։ Ես անգամ չգիտեի, որ նա հիվանդ էր։ Մի քանի օր առաջ մահվան մասին իմացա։ Պատրաստվում եմ դիմել Կարմիր Խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեին, որպեսզի մայրիկիս մարմինը Հայաստան բերեն ու կարողանանք այստեղ հուղարկավորել»,–պատմեց Վերա Աղասյանի դուստրը։
Հայաստանում ԿԽՄԿ պատվիրակության հաղորդակցման ծրագրերի ղեկավար Զառա Ամատունին հայտնել է, որ կազմակերպությունը կապի մեջ է մահացածի հարազատների հետ և պատրաստ է նպաստել հետագա քայլերի իրականացմանը, որոնց կարիքը կունենա ընտանիքը և որոնք կհամաձայնեցվեն իշխանությունների հետ:
Ավելի վաղ հայտնել էինք Ստեփանակերտում մնացած հայուհի Վերա Աղասյանի մահվան մասին: 70-ամյա կնոջ մահվան պատճառ է ճանաչվել սիրտ-թոքային սուր անբավարարությունը, որը զարգացել է թոքային զարկերակի թրոմբոզի հետևանքով:
