«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

 Նախօրեին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար, գեներալմայոր Արշակ Կարապետյանի Ֆեյսբուքի էջում տեղադրվել էր համացանցում հայտնի դարձած մի լուսանկար, որում ԲՐԻԿՍ-ի գագաթաժողովին մասնակցող ու Իհամ Ալիևի մոտ նստած Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի առջև երևում է «Ադրբեջան» գրությամբ ցուցանակ, ինչից հետո իշխանական քարոզչամեքենան՝ իր սատելիտներով ու լրատվամիջոցներով հանդերձ, մեծ աղմուկ բարձրացրեց «Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդի շուրջ:
 
Այս հարցի շուրջ «Փաստը» մեկնաբանություն խնդրեց Արշակ Կարապետյանից. «Այդ լուսանկարը վերցված է ռուսական պետական ալիքների ռեպորտաժից, ու իշխանական քարոզչամեքենան մոբիլիզացնելու և իմ դեմ տեղեկատվական գրոհ կազմակերպելու փոխարեն լավ կլիներ, եթե Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը համարձակություն ունենար և ռուսական կողմից պարզաբանում պահանջեր, թե ինչու են հենց այդ ռակուրսով կադրեր սփռել եթերում: Ինքս, անկեղծ ասած, նման դեպքերում պատահականությունների չեմ հավատում, սա ուղիղ արհամարհանքի և իր նկատմամբ անլուրջ վերաբերմունքի վկայություն է։ Բոլորս պետք է հասկանանք, որ սա միայն Նիլոլ Փաշինյանի ամոթը չէ, սա յուրաքանչյուր հայի ամոթն է»,-ասաց Կարապետյանը:
 
«Որպես հայ մարդ, որպես հայ գեներալ՝ ես վիրավորված եմ, որ իմ երկրի ղեկավարն այնպիսի կարգավիճակի կարող է հասնել, որ նման արհամարհական, ծաղրական կադրեր հեռարձակվեն: Ընդ որում, դա եղել է հեռուստատեսային հեռարձակում, և ամբողջ աշխարհն է տեսել, իսկ Հայաստանի իշխանության և իշխանական քարոզիչների կողմից ոչ մի արձագանք չի եղել, փոխարենը իրենց տեղեկատվական ռեսուրսների ամբողջ արսենալով հարձակվել են ինձ վրա՝ փորձելով կեղծ աղմուկի մեջ խեղդել այդ ակնհայտ միջպետական խայտառակությունը»,-ամփոփեց Արշակ Կարապետյանը:
