Իր պաշտպանական օբյեկտի վրա ահաբեկչական հարձակումից հետո, որի հետևանքով զոհվել է առնվազն հինգ մարդ, Թուրքիան հինգշաբթի երկրորդ օրն անընդմեջ հարվածներ է հասցրել Սիրիայում և Իրաքում ենթադրյալ քրդական զինյալների թիրախներին, հայտնել է թուրքական Anadolu գործակալությունը:

Ըստ թուրքական լրատվամիջոցների՝ թուրքական հետախուզությունը հարվածներ է հասցրել Քրդստանի աշխատավորական կուսակցության (PKK) բազմաթիվ «ռազմավարական օբյեկտներին»։

Թուրքիան հայտարարել է, որ թիրախները ներառում էին ռազմական, հետախուզական, էներգետիկ և ենթակառուցվածքային օբյեկտներ, ինչպես նաև զինամթերքի պահեստներ։ Անվտանգության պաշտոնյան հայտնել է, որ հինգշաբթի հարվածների ժամանակ զինված անօդաչու սարքեր են օգտագործվել: Թուրքիայի ռազմաօդային ուժերը չորեքշաբթի ավիահարվածներ են հասցրել Սիրիայի հյուսիսում և Իրաքի հյուսիսում տեղակայված նմանատիպ օբյեկտների վրա՝ մի քանի ժամ անց այն բանից հետո, երբ կառավարական պաշտոնյաները PKK-ին մեղադրել են TUSAS օդատիեզերական և պաշտպանական ընկերության կենտրոնակայանի վրա մահացու հարձակման համար:

Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Յաշար Գյուլերը հինգշաբթի հայտարարել է, որ նախօրեին ավիահարվածների հետևանքով սպանվել է PKK-ի 47 ենթադրյալ անդամ՝ 29-ը Իրաքում և 18-ը՝ Սիրիայում։

Ըստ ուրքական լրատվամիջոցների՝ հարձակվողները՝ կինն ու տղամարդը, Անկարայի ծայրամասում տեղակայված TUSAS-ի գրասենյակ են ժամանել տաքսիով, որը գրավել են վարորդին սպանելուց հետո։

Ինքնաձիգներով զինված՝ նրանք գործի են դրել պայթուցիկները և կրակ բացել, ինչի հետևանքով TUSAS-ում չորս մարդ սպանվել է, նրանց թվում՝ անվտանգության աշխատակիցը և ինժեներ-մեխանիկը:
