Մել Պլականիկա անունով 31-ամյա կինը բժիշկների է դիմել որովայնի ուժեղ ցավերի և արյունահոսության պատճառով։
Հետազոտությունից հետո նրա մոտ հինգ լրացուցիչ օրգան է հայտնաբերվել, հաղորդել է «The Sun»-ը:
Պլականիկան պատմել է, որ ստամոքսի ցավերն անտանելի են եղել, և որ պարբերաբար արյունահոսել է։ Հերթական նոպայից հետո մայրը կնոջը տեղափոխել է հիվանդանոց, որտեղ սկանավորման ժամանակ հայտնաբերել է արգանդի մոտ առկա ուռուցք։ Բժիշկները կարծել են, որ դա ուռուցք է, սակայն նրանց մտավախությունները չեն հաստատվել։
Ծանր վիճակի պատճառը պարզելու հետագա փորձերը հանգեցրել են անսպասելի բացահայտման։ Սկանավորումը ցույց է տվել, որ Պլականիկան ունեցել է երկու արգանդ, չորս ձվարան, երկու արգանդի վզիկ և երեք երիկամ՝ ընդհանուր առմամբ հինգ լրացուցիչ օրգան: Շուտով կնոջից հեռացրել են մեկ արգանդ ու երկու ձվարան, իսկ երկու արգանդի վզիկ միավորվել են մեկի մեջ: Բժիշկները հայտնաբերել են նաև էնդոմետրիոզ, որը որովայնի ուժեղ ցավերի պատճառ է դարձել։
Կինը ենթադրել է, որ ունեցել երկվորյակ քույր, որին կլանել է պտղի զարգացման ընթացքում։
