Իտալիայի վարչապետ Ջորջիա Մելոնին Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանին հրավիրել է 2025 թվականի առաջին կեսին այցելել Իտալիա՝ իտալա-թուրքական միջկառավարական գագաթնաժողովի նոր նիստին մասնակցելու։

Հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում Մելոնին և Էրդողանը կենտրոնացել են երկկողմ հարաբերությունների հզորության վրա՝ ընդգծելով առևտրի կայուն աճող միտումը՝ հետագա ամրապնդման ուղղությամբ աշխատանքը շարունակելու կարևորությունը, ասված է Իտալիայի կառավարության հայտարարության մեջ։

Վերահաստատելով Իսրայելի ինքնապաշտպանության իրավունքը՝ Մելոնին, միաժամանակ, ընդգծել է Մերձավոր Արևելքում շարունակվող հակամարտություններից տուժած խաղաղ բնակիչներին մարդասիրական օգնության ավելացման անհրաժեշտությունը: Նրանք նաև ընդգծել են Գազայում և Լիբանանում հրադադարի կոչ անելու իրենց համատեղ հանձնառությունը:

«Վերջինիս վերաբերյալ Մելոնին ընդգծել է UNIFIL-ի կարևոր դերը և այս առաքելության անվտանգությունը մշտապես ապահովելու անհրաժեշտությունը»,-ասված է հայտարարության մեջ:

Ըստ Թուրքիայի հանրային կապերի գրասենյակի՝ Էրդողանն իր հերթին «բարձր է գնահատում Հռոմի արձագանքը տարածաշրջանում Իսրայելի ագրեսիային՝ ընդգծելով Մերձավոր Արևելքում խաղաղություն հաստատելու Թուրքիայի վճռական ջանքերը»:

Նա միևնույն ժամանակ Մելոնիին ասել է, որ Հռոմի աջակցությունը կամրապնդի Անկարայի դիրքերը Իսրայելին զենքի վաճառքը դադարեցնելու ՄԱԿ-ի ջանքերում:

Էրդողանը հավելել է, որ Իսրայելի հարձակումները պաղեստինյան տարածքների, ներառյալ Գազայի հատվածի, ինչպես նաև նրա հարձակումները Լիբանանի և այնտեղ տեղակայված ՄԱԿ-ի խաղաղապահների վրա բացարձակապես անընդունելի են։
