Ռուսական լայնածավալ ներխուժման սկզբից ի վեր, ըստ ՄԱԿ-ի տվյալների, Ուկրաինայի բնակչությունը նվազել է 10 միլիոն մարդով կամ մոտ մեկ քառորդով:
Դա տեղի է ունեցել փախստականների արտահոսքի, ծնելիության անկման և պատերազմում մահացության պատճառով։
ՄԱԿ-ի Բնակչության հիմնադրամի (UNFPA) Արևելյան Եվրոպայի և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի տարածաշրջանային տնօրեն Ֆլորենս Բաուերը հայտարարել է, որ 2022 թվականի փետրվարի ներխուժումը վատթարացրել է առանց այն էլ դժվար ժողովրդագրական իրավիճակը:
«Ծնելիության մակարդակը կտրուկ նվազել է և այժմ կազմում է մեկ կնոջ մոտ մեկ երեխա, ինչը ամենացածր ցուցանիշներից մեկն է աշխարհում», - ասել է պաշտոնյան:
Մինչդեռ, ըստ Բաուերի, կայուն բնակչություն պահպանելու համար պահանջվում է մեկ կնոջ համար 2,1 երեխա ծնելիության մակարդակ:
Ըստ ՄԱԿ-ի ներկայացուցչի, աղետի հետևանքների անմիջական ազդեցությունը զգացվել է պատերազմի պատճառով գրեթե դատարկված տարածաշրջաններում, գյուղերում, որտեղ մնացել են միայն տարեցները։
Ուկրաինայի բնակչության նվազման ամենամեծ բաժինը կապված է փախստականների հետ՝ 6,7 մլն ուկրաինացի ապրում է արտասահմանում, հիմնականում՝ Եվրոպայում։ Պատերազմում մարդկանց մահն ազդեց նաև ժողովրդագրական իրավիճակի վրա, նշել է նա:
