«Հայաթ բենդի» օրերս կայացած գերհաջողված համերգը Մարզահամերգային համալիրում, երբ բոլոր տոմսերը վաճառվել էին, ավելի շատ կհիշվի նրա ղեկավար և պրոդյուսեր Ռուբեն Մխիթարյանի ելույթի շնորհիվ։ Մխիթարյանն ութ հազար մարդու ներկայությամբ հիմնական քաղաքական մեսիջները հաղորդեց՝ առանց, ըստ էության, բացահայտ քաղաքական ելույթի։

Հնչեցրեց այն սիմվոլները, պրոբլեմները, որոնք այսօր ՀՀ ղեկավարի փորացավն են, որի համար «Մասիս», «Արարատ», «Եռաբլուր», «Արցախ» բառերը զգայուն են։ Փաշինյանական իշխանությունն ամեն ինչ անում է մարդկանց ուղեղներից այդ ամենը հանելու համար, բայց չի կարողանում։ Ռուբենի «Ես իմ անուշ Հայաստանի» արտասանությունը, ֆոնը, որ ստեղծվել էր համերգի ժամանակ, լուրջ նյարդայնացրել է թուրքամետ իշխանության վերին օղակներին։ Լուրջ մտահոգություններ է առաջացրել, որ կան ռուբենմխիթարյաններ, որոնք ունեն գործիքակազմեր, որոնք կարող են ազդել լայն զանգվածների վրա։ Իսկ այդ զանգվածները կարող են բոլորովին այլ ուղղությամբ գնալ, քան իշխանությունը պատկերացնում է։

Գյումրիում որոշակի տագնապներ կան իշխանության մոտ, վախենում են, որ Մխիթարյանը կարող է որևէ ընտրական գործընթացներում մասնակցել, ինչ-որ ձևաչափով։ Իսկ դրա շանսերը կան, քանի որ թե՛ նա, թե՛ իր բենդը չափազանց հայտնի են ոչ միայն Հայաստանում, Սփյուռքում, այլ առաջին հերթին Գյումրիում։
