Հոկտեմբերի 22-ին ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանն ընդունել է ԱՄՆ նախագահի հատուկ օգնական, ազգային անվտանգության խորհրդի Եվրոպայի հարցերով տնօրեն Մայքլ Քարփենթերի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը։

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են ՀՀ-ԱՄՆ երկկողմ օրակարգի հարցեր, այդ թվում՝ ռազմավարական գործընկերության զարգացմանը միտված ընթացիկ ծրագրերը, դրական դինամիկան ու հետագա հեռանկարները։ «Հայաստանը շահագրգիռ է շարունակել զարգացնել հարաբերություններն ԱՄՆ հետ փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող ուղղություններով՝ կառուցելով ընդհանուր արժեքների, արդեն իսկ արձանագրված ձեռքբերումների վրա, ուսումնասիրելով նաև ոլորտային համագործակցության լրացուցիչ հնարավորությունները»,- ընդգծել է ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարարը:

Արարատ Միրզոյանը և Մայքլ Քարփենթերը մտքեր են փոխանակել տարածաշրջանային կայունությանն ու անվտանգությանն առնչվող հարցերի շուրջ։

ՀՀ արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարն ընդգծել է Հարավային Կովկասում խաղաղության հաստատման ուղղությամբ ՀՀ կողմից գործադրվող ջանքերը, և անդրադարձել է կատարվել Հայաստան-Ադրբեջան հարաբերությունների կարգավորման գործընթացում վերջին քննարկումներին: Այս համատեքստում նախարար Միրզոյանն ընդգծել է տարածաշրջանում կայուն խաղաղության հասնելու գործում ՀՀ շահագրգռվածությունը՝ հավելելով, որ վերջինս իր հստակ արտահայտումն է գտել հնարավորինս սեղմ ժամկետում Ադրբեջանի հետ խաղաղության պայմանագրի կնքման հարցում, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանում տնտեսական զարգացման ապահովմանն ուղղված ՀՀ տեսլականում:
