Генеральный секретарь НАТО Марк Рютте пообщался с президентом Южной Кореи Юн Сок Йолем по поводу сообщений о возможной отправке военных КНДР для участия в российско-украинской войне. Об этом он написал в X.
Рютте обсудил с президентом Южной Кореи информацию о вероятной отправке северокорейских военных на войну против Украины.
«Отправка войск Северной Кореи воевать бок о бок с Россией в Украине будет означать значительную эскалацию», – акцентировал генсек НАТО.
Они также обсудили партнерство Сеула и НАТО, оборонно-промышленное сотрудничество и взаимосвязанную безопасность в Евроатлантическом и Индо-Тихоокеанском регионах.
Напомним, Южнокорейское разведывательное агентство сообщило в пятницу, что Северная Корея отправила 1500 бойцов спецназа на Дальний Восток России для тренировок и акклиматизации на местных военных базах и, вероятно, они будут развернуты для участия в боевых действиях против Украины.
Позже президент Владимир Зеленский обвинил Северную Корею в том, что она готовится отправить 10 тысяч военных на помощь Москве.
