ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը նախագահական ընտրություններում իր մրցակցին՝ փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսին անվանել է «մտավոր հետամնաց»՝ փորձելով համոզել հանրապետական առաջատար դոնորներին ավելի շատ գումար հատկացնել իր նախընտրական արշավին, գրում է New York Times-ը։
Հրատարակության տվյալներով՝ ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահի վիրավորական արտահայտություններն արվել են անցյալ ամիս իր պենտհաուսում դոնորների հետ ընթրիքի ժամանակ։
Դոնորների թվում էին Թրամփի կրթության նախկին քարտուղար Բեթսի Դևոսը և նրա ամուսինը, ինչպես նաև հեջ-ֆոնդի մենեջեր Փոլ Սինգերը, ներդրումային բանկիր Ուորեն Սթիվենսը և միլիարդատեր Ջո Ռիկեթսը: Դիմելով մի խումբ հարուստ դոնորների՝ Թրամփն ասաց, որ իր վարչակազմի հարկային քաղաքականությունը ձեռնտու է նրանց, և որ նրանք պետք է երախտապարտ լինեն և ավելին նվիրեն իր արշավին։
Աղբյուրները Times-ին հայտնել են, որ Թրամփը հիասթափված է իր դրամահավաքի արդյունքներից, քանի որ Հարիսը շարունակում է ավելի շատ գումարներ բերել, քան իր նախընտրական արշավը:
Թրամփի նյարդայնությունն ակնհայտ է դարձել քարոզարշավի վերջին փուլերում, քանի որ Սպիտակ տան համար մրցավազքը մնում է չափազանց լարված։ OpenSecret-ի հետազոտողները, անկուսակցական խումբ, որը հետևում է ընտրություններին փողերին, այս շաբաթ իր զեկույցում նշել են, որ նման տեմպերով Թրամփը կարող է նույնիսկ դժվարությամբ համընկնել 2020 թվականի քարոզարշավի ընթացքում իր քաղաքական արդյունքի հետ: Միևնույն ժամանակ, Հարրիսը հավաքել է 1 միլիարդ դոլար՝ հուլիսի վերջին մրցարշավին մասնակցելուց հետո, այս շաբաթվա սկզբին հայտնել է CNN-ը:
