«Ռուսաստանի վետերաններ» շարժումը հոլիվուդյան ֆիլմերի նախկին աստղ Սթիվեն Սիգալին, որը վերջերս այցելել էր ռազմական հատուկ գործողության գոտի, առաջարկել է որպես կամավոր միանալ պաշտպանության նախարարության կազմավորումներից մեկին: Այս մասին հայտնում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին` հղում անելով շարժման ղեկավար Իլդար Ռեզյապովի նամակին։
Հիշեցնենք, որ Սթիվեն Սիգալը 2016 թվականին Ռուսաստանի քաղաքացիություն է ստացել, իսկ մի քանի տարի անց դարձել է Ռուսաստանի ԱԳՆ հումանիտար կապերի գծով հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ:
Ռեզյապովի այս առաջարկը հնչել է ի պատասխան Սիգալի` ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինին ուղղված նամակի, որում նա պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել մեռնել նրա և Ռուսաստանի համար:
«Երկիրը պաշտպանելու պատրաստակամությունը հավատարմության և հայրենասիրության հզոր խորհրդանիշ է։ Մենք պատրաստ ենք Ձեզ ցանկացած օգնություն ցուցաբերել կամավորական կազմավորումներից մեկին միանալու համար։ Ձեր աջակցությունը կամրապնդի մեր ընդհանուր հաղթանակի նկատմամբ վստահությունը», – ասված է նամակում։
