Сэр Пол Маккартни отдал дань уважения покойному Джону Леннону в день его 84-летия.
82-летний певец опубликовал в Instagram снимок с выступления 2022 года на сцене с проецируемыми кадрами Джона, играющего на гитаре за его спиной.
Кадры были взяты из документального фильма Питера Джексона Disney+ «The Beatles: Get Back», который вышел в эфир в ноябре 2021 года и рассказывал о создании альбома группы 1970 года Let It Be.
«С днем рождения, Джон. Спасибо, что ты был там», - подписал пост Маккартни.
Ранее сэр Пол признался, что был бы охвачен чувством вины, если бы не восстановил дружбу с Джоном до того, как тот был трагически убит в 1980 году. Джон был застрелен в возрасте 40 лет сумасшедшим фанатом Марком Чепменом возле своего дома в Нью-Йорке.
Он покинул The Beatles в 1969 году и оказался втянут в юридические тяжбы из-за бэк-каталога группы, что вызвало напряженность между ним и его бывшим партнером по написанию песен сэром Полом.
Однако паре удалось восстановить свою дружбу в середине 1970-х годов, и сэр Пол проводил много времени в доме Джона и его жены Йоко Оно.
