Սթենֆորդի համալսարանի գիտնականները վերջերս մշակել են նոր տիպի արևային մարտկոց, որը կարող է հոսանք արտադրել գիշերը: Այդ նորարարական մոտեցումը լուծում է արևային էներգիայի ավանդական համակարգերի հիմնական խնդիրներից մեկը, այն է թույլ է տալիս ընդլայնել վերականգնվող էներգիայի շարունակական արտադրությունը, գրում է ecoticias.com-ը, գրում է focus.ua-ն։
Այս տեխնոլոգիան հիմնված է այսպես կոչված ճառագայթային սառեցման վրա: Գիշերն արևային մարտկոցները տալիս են ջերմությունը և սառչում մինչև շրջակա միջավայրի ջերմաստիճանից ցածր ջերմաստիճան: Սթենֆորդի համալսարանի թիմին հաջողվել է հնարել շատ կրեատիվ եղանակ օգտագործելու ջերմաստիճանային տարբերություններն էլեկտրական հոսանք ստանալու համար: Գիտնականները ինտեգրել են ջերմաէլեկտրական գեներատորն ավանդական արևային մարտկոցների մեջ այդ խնդիրն իրականացնելու համար: Արդյունքում սարքն իր և օդի ջերմաստիճանների տարբերությունները կարող է օգտագործել էլեկտրաէներգիա արտադրելու համար։ Այսինքն վահանակը կարող է որոշակի էներգիա արտադրել նույնիսկ արևի լույսի բացակայության դեպքում:
