«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
«Հայ խաչակիրների ազատագրական շարժում» հասարակական շարժման ղեկավար Արթուր Ասատրյանի նախաձեռնությամբ Մոսկվայի հայկական «Տապան» թանգարանում բացվել է հայկական կերպարվեստի պատմության ցուցահանդեսը, որը կտևի կես տարի: Կազմակերպչի խոսքով, նախագծի ստեղծման համար պահանջվել է 30 տարվա մանրակրկիտ և հետևողական աշխատանք՝ տարբեր ազգերի հետազոտողների, պատմաբանների, վերականգնողների և նկարիչների խմբի կողմից: Ցուցահանդեսի հիմնական ուղերձն է՝ դիմել անցյալի մեծ օրինակներին, որոնք պետք է ոգեշնչեն հայ ժողովրդի ներկա և ապագա սերունդներին: Խոսքը վերաբերում է Հայաստանի թագավորներին, որոնք մարմնավորում են հայ ժողովրդի պատմական ուղին:
«Հնագույն ժամանակներից մինչև 14-րդ դարում հայկական պետականության անկումը երկիրը կառավարել է 6 թագավորական դինաստիա: Տարբեր ժամանակներում հայկական կառավարիչները կրել են տարբեր տիտղոսներ՝ «Արքայից արքայից» մինչև «սատրապներ»: Ցավոք, պահպանվել են միայն նրանցից մի քանիսի դիմանկարները: Բացի այդ, չեն պահպանվել Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսների դիմանկարները: Իմ պարտքն եմ համարում պահպանել ժողովրդի առաջնորդների հիշատակը, նրանց կյանքի ուղին, քաղաքական և մշակութային ժառանգությունը», - հիշեցրել է Արթուր Ասատրյանը:
Նրա խոսքով, հայ ժողովրդի պատմության մեջ կարևոր դեր խաղացած պետական գործիչների դիմանկարների վերականգնման գաղափարը առաջացել է 1990-ականներին, երբ հետխորհրդային երկրներում սկսեցին տարածվել վիճահարույց արժեքներ: Նպատակը մեկն էր՝ թույլ չտալ, որ աճող սերունդը կտրվի իր արմատներից և մոռանա հայոց պատմության նշանավոր գործիչների անուններն ու դեմքերը: Հենց այս նպատակով էլ մեկնարկել է այս նախագիծը՝ ստեղծել հայ ժողովրդի հերոսական անցյալի իսկական հուշարձան: Վերջին 30 տարվա ընթացքում կատարվել է մեծ հետազոտական աշխատանք, ուսումնասիրվել են բազմաթիվ երկրների արխիվների փաստաթղթեր՝ Վատիկանից մինչև Երևան: Այս տվյալների հիման վրա այսօր վերականգնվել են 50 թագավորի և 132 կաթողիկոսի դիմանկարները: Ստեղծվել է 109 մեծ կտավ, որոնց վրա պատկերված են հայոց պատմության կարևոր իրադարձությունները:
«Այս ամբողջ հավաքածուի հանգրվանը պետք է դառնա նոր թանգարանային համալիրը Էջմիածին քաղաքում: Բայց ինձ համար խորհրդանշական է, որ «Վերածնունդ» առաջին լիարժեք ցուցահանդեսը տեղի է ունենում «Տապան» թանգարանում, Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու պատերի ներսում, որը դարերով պահպանել է հայ ժողովրդի ինքնությունն ու հավատը», -«Փաստ»-ի հետ զրույցում նշել է Արթուր Ասատրյանը:
