В Литве начинаются масштабные учения с участием стран НАТО

С 7 октября в Литве начинаются международные военные учения «Железный волк – 2024-II», которые продлятся 10 дней. Об этом сообэают Вооруженных сил Литвы.
Учения будут проходить на полигоне имени генерала Сильвестраса Жукаускаса и в них примут участие более 3200 литовских и союзных военнослужащих и 700 единиц военной техники.
В ходе учений будут отрабатывать планирование и проведение наступательных и оборонительных операций днем и ночью, а также взаимодействие между подразделениями.
Кроме литовских военных в учениях примут участие представители Бельгии, Чехии, США, Люксембурга, Норвегии, Нидерландов и Германии.
Учения «Железный волк» проводятся ежегодно весной и осенью с целью оценки боеготовности батальонов, входящих в состав пехотной бригады «Железный волк», и полной интеграции боевой группы передового присутствия НАТО.
Граждан ряда районов Литвы предупредили о передвижении по дорогам военной техники в связи с учениями.
